Watched the first episode. The voice cast isn't too impressive, but it's not that bad either, pretty much average. As it stands right now, I feel that Rie's Taiga is the most underwhelming. She has the tsundere loli voice, but yet she also has something else in there, and it just makes Taiga sound weird. The closest description I can come up with is that she sounds like a tsundere shota.

Well I enjoyed it so far but I haven't even heard of this before now so....I guess I'll just see how it goes.

I don't know about the seiyuus or anything (that stuff never interested me much), but I have the same worries concerning the anime-manga comparison.

The manga has one volume out, and one new chapter comes out a month. The anime will show one episode a week. It won't be long before the anime gets to where the manga is and then passes it by. At that point, what do we do? Watch the anime and spoil the manga? Read the manga and ignore the anime?

This situations sucks. :(

aside from the seiyuu(which is perfect hands down), i'm really satisfied about the quality of the animation, the coloring and the character design are way above my expectation. two thumbs up :D

There has been quite a few series where the storyline of the anime nearly surpassed that of its manga counterpart, and more often than not, fillers will usually be thrown in or content different from the manga will be shown, usually with approval from the author/artist. Therefore, I doubt reading the manga or watching the anime will spoil it for fans. Even if it does, I believe both formats are unique in their own ways for viewers and readers alike to remain interested.

True, but the situation with ToraDora is a little different. The manga and anime are based on the light novels, and the manga only has one volume out. Also, it seems hard to change the story of ToraDora to allow for a lot of fillers or a completely different ending. It's easy with an action series, but it can screw up a romantic-comedy series horribly.

Am I the only who really enjoys Toradora, besides Gizmo? Granted I've never read the manga nor novels (wouldn't even know where to get the translated versions [if out there] anyway), but I feel like the voice performance was one of the best out of this season's anime. Yea, Rie Kugimiya might seem to be fit for the tsundere loli who's spoiled, but that's exactly what Taiga is, except meaner, leaner, and more violent, and her more than usual gruff voice fitted perfectly. Hearing Yui Horie's voice made me cry out for joy... her voice is so damn cute, and it really fits the airhead Minori. Plus, the animation quality and flow is really great. Can't wait to see more of this.

If someone can point out where I can download the translated manga and light novels, that'd be great. Comparisons then can be made.

I find it annoying how the anime completely caught up with the manga in 2 episodes.

I get the feeling I should stop watching so I can enjoy the manga without the damn anime spoiling every little fucking thing.

Buuuuut.....episode 2 ending when she said "Taiga..datte" I found it super cute which has me leaning on the edge of either watching or reading.

Um, we all enjoy Toradora (I think), it's just there are people who are less tolerant of Rie's Taiga than others (like me).
