Mine was the anime movie Odin, after that followed by other old school stuff like Akira, Ghost in the shell, Dark city, Macross, Tank Polise etc.

my first anime was sailor moon, fallowed by pokemon, then digimon, then dragon ball z, then I watched esclafowne and gundam wing around the same time.

Oh man, I started way back. My first anime was Voltron, although I always taught it was just an American cartoon until I finally read the definition of "anime".

My first anime was either Speed Racer or G-Force(Battle of the Planets).
What really got me hooked on anime was Robotech and Voltron. Oh, a little side note G.I. Joe and Transfromers should be considered as anime.

The first time I watched anime, I was just a wee lad somewhere in rural germany. The show is called Attack No. 1, but in germany, it was simply Mila Superstar. A tale of some girl who really liked to play volleyball. ...I don't remember too much about it, except that she used to get slapped in the face alot. Volleyball is serious business.

This is among the first animes I've seen when I was about a 10 years old kid. I consider this a classic even - up par to another one of my classic favorites which is The Dog of Flanders.
