What're your favorite anime and why?

My list of favorite animes are:

Naruto: Cause its epic.
Bleach: The same as above
Shakugan no Shana: Again the same as above
To Aru Majutsu no Index: Really great. Love the science fiction stuff that it presents and I love Kanazaki Kaoru.
Amagami SS: Because of its greatness and for Haruka and Miya.
K-ON!: Nothing else can beat its epicness.
Higurashi no Naku Koro ni: Simply because its unique and its filled with horror.
Fullmetal Panic: Has a really good story, and nice action scenes.
School Rumble: Because of the non-stop comedy and the entertaining misunderstandings.
and it goes on....

I could go on but I lack time.

My favourite anime: Higurashi, mind warping, entertaining and an actually well written mystery that keeps you guessing.
The best anime Ive ever watched: Serial Experiments Lain, simply amazing.
The anime I enjoyed the most: Seto no Hanayome, nonstop laughter.
Fanbase favourite: Clannad or Fate/Stay Night

Last Exile: About pilots, war, finding yourself/do what you want to do and such, also, my dad was a pilot, I REALLY want to be a pilot despite my vertigo, which may not allow me to become one, but nothing sounds better to me than a jet roaring off the runway... And I live next to an airport, so it's like, have your cake but you can't eat it.... And I flew an hour once, the skies haven't looked the same since.

BECK - I love this anime so much, was disappointed when they cut it short.

FLCL - How do I put it? This anime was a revelation to me, it made me so goddamn happy when I watched it.

Detective Conan
Yu Yu Haku Sho (All of their Villains are deep and more than demented. Fights are great too, all tournament format)
Gundam Wing (Best Gundam imo, deepest plot, best characters)
Dragon Ball and Dragon Ball Z (Just a classic)
Chrome Shield Regios (Characters strong as hell since the beginning and classic fights)

Top 10 Series(alphabetically and not currently airing):

ARIA -the single most serene and calming series I have ever seen
Bakemonogatari -Senjougahara. SHAFT.
Code Geass -Gundams + Deathnote + me imagining Nunnaly getting pushed down stairs
Darker Than Black -Asian Electric Batman
Full Metal Panic -Funny, slice of life (kinda) and mecha action
Higurashi no Naku koro ni -Insane laughter
Mahou Shoujo Lyrical Nanoha -I think she could kick Sakura's ass
Neon Genesis Evangelion -This doesn't need an explanation
Sayonara Zetsubo Sensei -Funny satire, SHAFT.
Seto no Hanayome -Hilarious.

All of the above either have what I consider to be exceptional story lines, or had me laughing uncontrollably for hours on end.

I can go on ad nauseam about good series, but these are just some that stand out a bit above the rest in my opinion.

Gintama-always makes me laugh and waiting April for continuation of the anime.

Infinite Stratos-Just like a human gundams.

Belzeebub-Babysitter delinquent is just make me smile (evil smile).

There are many animes I like, but there's always a better. I prefer manga over anime.

Amagami SS, HOTD, Welcome to the NHK, Library Wars, And all the Gundam Series set in the U.C. timeline. + Etc........

This. I have yet to find an anime that perfectly captures the essence of the manga.

But as far as favorites go, in no particular order:

Gintama.
Hellsing.
Cowboy Bebop.
GitS: SAC.

this one..is...so..damn..EPIC!...the "mechs" are over powered...and that's why I like them!...

Fushigi Yugi - It's my eye-opener to this kind of world.
Lucky star - Konata is so adorable and funny, and somewhat reminds me of myself.

I've come to like BECK recently.
Guyver also comes to mind.

Ive put a lot of thought into what anime I could always watch and not get bored of even though I know the whole story and all the twists Etc.

The anime that I truely love is a bit of a shock because its not the flashiest or cleverest by any means but I could watch it every now and then and not get sick of it in any way... Please Twins!

Its such a delightful anime, The characters are just lovely and the story is nice and sweet too even though they've been through hardships. Those are the kind of animes that I like best, Tales of people making light of a baddish situation and finding happiness, Heartwarming tales of perserverance.

I also particularly like Binbou Shimai Monogatari a heck of a lot too and Aishiteruze Baby. :)

1. Ghost in the shell- great story line, took me 5 time watching my favorite ep to understand all of it.
2. Code Geass- complex yet simple lots of action, Kallen.
3. Death Note- makes you think and chose sides.
4. Neon Genesis Evenglion- it made me cry at the end.
5. Samurai Champloo- great art and action.

the only one that dosent change from time to time is GITS. once i get the courage to finish School Days it will probably be in there to.

Lovely Complex (I dont watch/read shoujo, but this was the best Romance anime IMO)
DBZ (just a fudging classic, can't get enough)
Shuffle! (I loved this show but even though my favorite was Asa I feel as though Rin chose unwisely...)
School Days (Despite the horrible end, I Loved it)
Legend of the Legendary Heroes (I loved it so much I thought it was the best anime for 2010)
Vandread (This show actually got me into watching more than what they air here in the US)
