What're your favorite anime and why?

Getting back on topic, if I have not already mentioned it previously, one of my favourite anime titles would be "Love Hina" as it introduced me to the character "Shinobu Maehara".

There's a bunch I like. Here's some of them:

Dragon Ball: Dragon Ball may not be in the same league as Dragon Ball Z, but for what I like about Dragon Ball is that the show displays more on martial arts techniques that of brute power, unlike in Dragon Ball Z's later episode that showcases power that can destroy a planet in a ridiculous way. What's also memorable is that this is one of the few cartoons(anime) that Filipinos dubbed in english, but sadly, they never finished it to the end.

Zettai Muteki Raijin-oh: Although this was made just for toy company Tomy to sell their merchandise, Raijin-oh, is a sense is quite memorable and unique. What really amazed me is the part where the school transforms into a base whenever an enemy comes to town, and every kid who watched this in the 90's always wanted to have a cool school like that.

Vision of escaflowne: Another one of my favorites. I can't tell much about this but the story and english dub made me want to watch this over and over.

Mobile Suit Victory Gundam: although series creator yoshiyuki tomino hates this to the death, I really liked this second-to-the-last tale of the U.C. gundam series where as it's no longer a war for independence: it's now a simple tale of fighting off evil invaders.

I really liked Code Geass and Tengen Toppa Guerren Lagann. I guess I just have a soft spot for mecha anime.

Higurashi No Naku Koro Ni - Because its a amazing series.

my all time fav? id have to say evangelion, not in a fanboy sort of way but something about it just hits a cord with me. i can watch it a dozen times over and never get sick of it.


my top 4 after that tho would have to be code geass, gundam 00 full metal alchamist and k-on.

Suzuka, Because i love the story line, especially the characters. When I finished the manga it left me depressed, wanting for more. Its like i didn't want the story to end at all. Its my all time favorite manga. I love it to death.

Bleach- Interesting story, tolerable fillers
Kore wa Zombie Desu ka?- Funny as hell, a lot of HHNNNGG moments
To Aru Majutsu no Index- Science and Religion mixes :T
Clannad ~After story- I'm a sucker for tear jerkers
Toradora- I'm a sucker for Slice of Life stories in general
And I'm really liking AnoHana

*Dragonball (all) - Grew up while watching these <.<
*NGE - Good if in the original series the 2 last episodes dident ruin it, OVAs are going well
*Sola - Another less viewed anime
*Nichijou - Still on going but its damn hilarious
*Serial Experiments Lain - I had to re-watch some parts of episodes because this really got me lost.
*Ergo Proxy - This one seems rather unknow to most people but its a nice one
*Hellsing - Great Vampire series
*Jigoku Shoujo - Don't really like the kind of anime where there is a different "Main" char in each episode but meh.
*Seitokai no Ichizon - Verry nice comedy anime
*School Days - Got to play the VN once it gets Translated.

*Clannad - Key animes, Tearjerkers
*Angel Beats

*Kara no Kyokai - Some realy epic movies, time-line is kinda messy if you dont know the order.
*Katanagatari - Last episode of this was kinda <.<, but overall a good one.
*Koihime Musou - I watched it for the plot.
*Kurokami - All manwas by Dall-Young Lim are nice so i had to watch this.
*Legend of the Legendary Heroes - Every time i looked at the Main char it always reminded me of Rance...dunno why.
