which is better dub or sub?

I've found that most dubs lose far to much of the original meaning in trying to make the show appeal to an English speaking audience. Japanese idioms and such are usually completely removed, while subbers take the time to actually translate them over.
Plus every epic speech I can think of sounded was more badass in the original version, our english voice actors just aren't used to portraying the kind of characters that are typical of anime.

there has been all kinds of good dubbed anime
cowboy bebop
samurai champloo
tenchi muyo
tell me everyone hasnt watched sailor moon and the whole old toonami block
ghost in the shell
outlaw star
kenshin
samurai x
gundams and the list goes on
but subbed normally wins just because its the original work, my take at least

That's why I choose subs than dubs .
Also dubs will change their original voice .
That will make the anime bad .

Evangelion was dubbed pretty well :DYeah Evangelion was dubbed pretty well I even watched it for the first time dubbed and didn't watch the subbed version of it because I thought it was better, not sure. It was also good because even though they tried to keep as close to the Japanese version as possible they still added some extra parts to it to make it slightly better. Oh and I also do agree that the people who hire the people who dub an anime are the ones at fault because the dubber is just following instructions.

For the most part subs will always be better. There are, however, a few occasions where the dub is as good as the sub is. I've never heard of a dub being better though.

I've never heard of a dub being better though.Most people I know think The original FMA was better dubbed rather then subbed. I watched both, and the japanese VA for FMA made it hard to listen to. Mostly because Ed and Al sounded like 8 year old girls, and it had some bad VA in general. The english voices had some oddities (Mustang) but overall I felt it was superior to the japanese VA.
Of course FMA is more the exception rather than the rule.
And "closer to the source" translations don't always work out for the best either. Look at woolsley's original Final Fantasy VI translation, compared to the retranslation patch some fans did several years later. The retranslation went with a more "proper" translation, and imo, it didn't work out for the better. Playing it just felt... off.

Yea i think same that sub better then dub.
I can learn better new vocables and its not crappy cute that the mouth move and he say nothing ..
But it give also good arguments for dub ;)
So both has his positive and negative part but i can most times not wait for dub.

Personally, I'd go with Raw. But since I don't understand Japanese, I'll change my opinion to Subs.

subs is a way better to watch anime than dubbing.dubbing will ruins its originality.
