[Locked] Debate on Moving and Merging of Threads (Former Title: Paul)

You know, I was scared of the ban hammer before, but upon realizing how stupid Waar truly is.....I've stopped caring.

Conclusion of thread:

The only thing that matters is what Waar says. That is all.

All ive seen is him saying i did it because i thought it was right and because i can, not why i think that decision is right.

I would probably move it back until I spoke with Jake, this became a bigger issue when you made the feedback threads and some users decided to take it upon themselves to remake the thread.

I don't have to justify myself, but I also don't want to be called a despot. As crazy as it sounds I do want people to think I do my job properly. I won't give up my values or anything like that but all I have to do to convince some of you that I'm not total shit is explain myself I am willing to do so. Contrary to popular belief I don't enjoy being hated, I'm just not willing to act differently to avoid it.

You don't have to justify yourself but like i said, don't expect users to take a leap of faith in agreeing with you when you don't. Especially if you don't want to stigmatize yourself as a despot, your statement just seems contradictory.

I have great respect for you paul, as a user and a moderator. For the few years i've known you on this forum, i've come to trust your judgement on most things. However you could've handled this situation better, as it stands i feel let down and disappointed by the way you've acted.

If Jake says it goes back into the music section then it goes back, Ive never gone against any of his decisions even if I don't agree with him, this is his website. You can look up the girls club drama form a while back for reference.

I don't expect different, any time I do something I think will be unpopular I know what will most likely happen. It would be nice if the users loved me and I could do my job as I see fit(like gambler) but I don't do things the way others want. As I said, I don't want to be hated I simply wont sacrifice what I believe in for the sake of being loved. Ive known and accepted it for a very long time now. I have made friends over it, a few users have seen some partial sanity in my actions and I do consider most of them friends now it's just a shame the rest see me as the reincarnation of Hitler.

That is a shame, it was not my intention. I however cannot change what I think to be right in this situation. As sorry as I am to lose some respect I would hate myself more if I did things differently than my way.

What would make more sense is if you just consult tsujoi and gambler about it. If they're fine with the action then we simply can't argue anything more.

However the thread was initially moved because of post grieving concerns but was moved back because i convinced gambler otherwise.

Because if it is a debate between global mods (tegumi included) I don't believe we will come to an understanding, and because I don't believe seniority matters when we're all the same rank I would want Jacob to deal with it. If anything Jacob is less likely to agree with me than say Matt or Mike, who both think more moderation is in order most of the time.

Still can't hurt to try even so, presumption seems like a weak excuse.

Waar here, Moved Rate the song above 3.5, because of a report. Because Waar can, he moved the topic from music to CTFG. Hobogunner doesent like it and from the looks of it other people too (including me).

So, i have a question.
Did Waar move the topic without trying to understand the topic itself, OR he moved it because he can and his way of thinking is overrules another.
