[Locked] Discussion: Unlicensed Content Removal

It has most likely already been pointed out before, but the search bar's auto-completion proposes removed content. A little frustrating, to be honest.

Funny thing is, in this world, we DO need a license to publish porn. Worst part is, not all can draw very nice hentai and fap over their work. I'd draw something and I'd probably weep over it more than anything.

Sentiments here is, FAKKU has been swimming in the internet for a very long time which is arguably the most volatile place in the planet, and through that time I think it has become the most recognizable hentai viewing body around. I think I know since I've been here ever since FAKKU thought me how to fap in a computer rental shop. But to see the day that FAKKU is now slowly turning fully legit, it's sad to see some of the things I loved in this site disappear one by one(first time I was disappointed about something in FAKKU is when they stopped uploading vids and games) then now the paperworks are going under too. I don't know if this would turn this site for the better(financially I think?) or worse, but one thing that is certain is that many of the patrons of this site are deeply wounded with this turn of events. I know it is the admin's decision to do the right thing(Piracy may or may not be even the issue here), but if it is the right thing for the site and the community, I don't know. Thing is, I'll stay here in FAKKU, not to fap but rather because I believe I need to visit this site every once in a while(I grew up here, come on let me stay), hope for a decent free content here, and probably post a few comments, topics or answer polls(please visit my recent post, I need author suggestions real bad). Luckily by December, admins wont shave my Fave list more or man am I gonna be pissed off.

May those deleted contents rest in peace, lucky are those who've had the luxury to read and download them. Especially those who were able to download them.

Sorry you feel that way, but I'd like to point out we've even posted material that we've published on sadpanda (for free) just so users can see the material. We can't stop piracy and piracy isn't necessarily always bad, that's why our material is DRM free. It's the hope that material released will be high enough quality that it is worth purchasing.

It may not serve a purpose for you, but many others are here to support artists and show Japan that there is a real fanbase in the west that want access to their material, in high quality. Not scraps scanned on the internet.

You're losing one of the many sites with free hentai manga, one which already had less content than many due to not allowing certain 'controversial' content, and gaining to my knowledge the second western H-manga publisher. What's the problem here?

I love the addendum that claims that you're right, even though you just used a logical fallacy. The "appeal to popularity" fallacy states that (slightly modified) free porn is popular, and popular things are correct. Therefore, free porn is correct. Just because it's easy to find doesn't make it correct. Also, if he didn't "sell-out" as you falsely put it, Fakku would no longer exist due to the DMCA requests and litigation from Wani. The entire idea of "selling out" is only correct if the person in particular does something that goes against their own principles, only to make more money. That is selling out. Believe me when I say I was one of the first to think all the lurkers were entitled, but if you look at the beta test thread for the new service, there are 11 pages of volunteers--over 3/4 of which I bet are lurkers. And that costs money. So, while I would say most entitled babies are lurkers, I wouldn't say most lurkers are entitled babies.

I was quite surprised by the number of people with low to nonexistent post counts and default avatars there as well. For a moment I thought they'd all come here after the Bosshi doujin went up on ex, but no, they've been here for years and already own other books. Definitely nice to see how many such quiet visitors are also interested in this.

I will admit, if there was one complaint I have, it's that I've spent my money stupidly and now can't afford to beta-test the new stuff while affording to pay off bills. I'm lucky I got the 2 books I own when I did, because it doesn't look like I'll have the time or money to get more soon.

Yeah I saw that thread some days ago. It was actually a really pleasant surprise. I know there are some kind and generous souls here, but given the size of this thread, it's somewhat difficult to have faith in the whole populace.
