I think memory is the least of your concern in regard to Unity. That is if you actually have above-average processor and VGA. Also, 50 GB free space is quite a killer.
Have you played Rogue till the end? I ignored most of the side quests, but it still took me 3 days to finish. In comparison with the other AC series, this one had me shaking my head the most; not necessarily due to negative impression however.

The good news is i'm upgrading my laptop in the end of the year to accept smooth gameplay at medium/low settings. That made me grateful in a kind of way.

Just finished Rogue about 2 days ago. Should've incorporated it to Black Flag like Freedom Cry though.

That is true. But Ubisoft's been acting more like Capcom nowadays. No wonder they would take any chance to charge a short game with normal price, instead of DLC-like price. What do you think about Shay? Don't you also think he was a little too nice to be an assassin in the first place.
