That's... just tasteless. It's one thing to write a work full of despair etc, that's an art in itself too, but taking others' crafted world and making a mockery out of that? Seriously?
That taking pride in decadence.
I mispelled the word. It is denigrating. I don't think I will be really mocking the tragedy that happened between the two main characters. I will just complain and post pictures about the Hungry Ghost Festival, with one or two references to Eternal Lover.
It could begin like:
For the first time, I see fit in recommending a piece of work that is someone else's other than mine. As narcissistic, self-centred and always eager to prostitute myself for publicity as I am, it is very hard for me to see me doing that. So I would like whoever is reading this to treasure this very moment and this very post as I refer you to Pacifica's "Eternal Lover".

Of course, this is your usual well-written tragic romance. But alas, it is in a perfect world (aka Japan Land) and as we all know in a perfect world your love of life dies on you.
If the story took place in the real world (aka where I live Land), the main character and his / her love interest will die a slow and painful death due to inhaling carcinogenic incense smoke that remains in their body system for several decades while slogging their lives out in a photocopying shop filled with ozone gas and breeding children who will be doubtlessly affected by that in ways that would be too tasteless to mention.
But a central theme of Eternal Lover is the Obon / Summer Festival. Over here, we have a more refined name. A name that really describes the Obon Festival for what is really is. Marvel at how apt the Obon Festival is named from where I come from, when I tell you that the counterpart of the Obon Festival in places miles away from civilisation that some call "Southeast Asia", it is called the
"HUNGRY GHOST FESTIVAL"
