damn that was 4 hours long...oh wait, I think I already downloaded the LOTR Trilogy audiobook. Though it seems that I could understand things better if I read the text as it won't take much of my time and I could set my own pace on this~

Now, we are back to the drawing board. I think Shiro most likely dozed off and woke up long after school has ended. I don't know where Yui is. I don't know if Koukansei exists.

yeah, it's a great sense of change from your usual cliche to some delightful shenanigans~
if I assumed things right, it might be a byproduct of himself reading too much hentai during summer break, and the dream happened to be right along the way one night during his break.
about Yui, we could assume two things.
1. it may really be his childhood friendf
2. most likely, an imaginary character he made within his mind because he's very lonely without the ability to talk with real girls! that also explains why he was called boring because he's probably a possible shut-in
let's just assume, for goodness sake, that the people in this school was only a backdrop, and the only ones exist were the characters and one teacher whose lessons only last about few seconds in the anime episodes because you know - most school life anime mostly didn't have anything much to do with these boring school activities itself xD

^ I can't post now and I don't think others would welcome it if you post now but what you have proposed looks more plausible not so cliched as other romance themed stories but I deeply resent it having a feel-good ending.
Part of me wishes that if we want to do something decent, perhaps the stalker who sent 600 messages to his victim could be an inspiration. I am sure you remember that disturbing yet hilarious translation by vgperson.
That aside, I promised someone that I would change my avi. This new avi looks disturbing enough. I am settling for it.

no of course not, feel good endings were subjective really. some also agreed that the terrible endings when the characters were torn apart completely would be the greatest feel good ever - Schadenfreude at its finest! Judging by your response, it might be plausible to develop the story in a way which greatly pisses you off - that means more vanilla which made your eyes bleed unlike any other, it might be feel-good for them, but it would be a resentful story for you =D
that could be done too, creepy stalker which turns into a werewolf and rapes his teacher to death is a good story - just read Wolf Guy : Wolfen Crest, I think you'll like this full-of-lulz story~

That's why it's good, disturbing and depressing stories are excellent and should be included in every stories out there. As Franz Kafka says:

On a more serious note, I would do my best to trivialise tragedy as much as possible. I much prefer comedy even though I know that I am NOT good in writing it as I would like to be.

he's the one who wrote 'The Metamorphosis' and it still disturbs me even now, far longer than any other stories I've read so far. that one is a masterpiece which had influenced my writings greatly, as much as his quotes did. I think, if it weren't for him, I won't ever continue to be an author this far =D
that's also good, I mostly meant for soul-crushingly depressing stuffs included in every stories as a form of entertainment to derive pleasure from the suffering of others, or even one belonging to the author themselves =D

You guys are free to do as you wish with the main two characters, I just said they were childhood friends and that they have a history, but nothing pertaining to mutual feelings between the two. If you want to make them friends, lovers, fuck buddies, enemies, aliens, pets, coffee making appliances, gods, or fictional characters created for the purpose of forging a bare skeleton of a story for the soul purpose of encouraging collaborative story-telling is all the same to me. Just don't kill them off because that's a rule, so I guess they can't be coffee making appliances, but gods? Well, Haruhi Suzumiya did it.

some of my buddies also recommended Albert Camus' works as a reference because I wrote quite some portions of absurdist fiction in my works. thanks I'll check it out =D

I am not really a fan of fiction. But if you ask me who Ezra Vogel, Thomas Friedman and Fareed Zakaria are, I ought to give you an affirmative answer.
You are right to say that. I do enjoy stories with bad endings provided if they are comical. I hate most of all feel-good endings (Speaking of feel-good endings, Sacha Baron Cohen's "The Dictator" was not a movie that I liked. I expected it to be more offensive and have a bad but hilarious ending) and of course, endings with a glimmer of hope comes as a close second.
The reason why I feel this way boils to my love of gloating at misfortune. However, I don't like to suffer misfortune. Gloating at misfortune, especially my own, is a way to make myself happier so yes, I think Kafka's remark about making readers suffer is a bit masochist.
Why not try to make them laugh? Making people laugh is extraordinarily difficult!

^ I don't think not knowing the names of academics or journalists is enough to indict a person of stupidity! It is just that I don't take that much into writing as an art form but rather as a means to amuse myself (in other words writing senseless monologues)
Thank you for that link. At least I have a better idea on what is a quality read. Kafka from what I have gathered appears to come up with surreal scenarios. I don't think he is associated with comedy but I don't think his genre of writing is tragedy either.
