How was your new year? I thinking of working on Livided's entry first then Associate's. Will create a thread sometime tomorrow called Campaigning and Mudslinging that will compile the parodies that I can write within 3 days.

not much. just trying to finish up writing something, especially that touhou fanfiction I very much like to finish completely before my final exams, which will be around february or so

Oh yes, you'd better explain the Touhou universe to me someday. I like fanfiction that is written like other works of fiction.

you probably want to play the fangame called Sengoku Gensokyo, it's a strategy game.

introduced most casts and the universe in general very well and this is what got me started into Touhou.

Still want you to explain it though. One reason I am doing these parodies is to train myself to write fiction. Fanfiction is for people who can't create characters and universes or are learning to.

What I am doing is quite alike to what those writers of fanfiction are doing.

that was my main problem. I don't really know how to explain the universe in detail but still insist doing so because I kind of promised my friend to finally write it. just like yeah, delving into uncertainties with a blindfold - totally reckless just like my style.

Just make things up as you go along! I did that trying to write Metal Gear fanfiction. What matters still is that we understand that universe.

yeah I'm mostly making things up but I don't know how to make other people understand it since I myself don't really understand what I've been writing and how the story will go on =D

I think it's easy to say that it took a very unpredictable turn not for a good cause. but regardless of that, it probably would serve as a good experience still =D

oh about that I have an even greater weakness getting into that lol xDDDD

I had the feeling that I should really drop this from the beginning, but yeah, my recklessness made me go on by making even less sense as it goes.

It's easy, it's easy. Just one or two sentences about character and location. I did a CoffeePrince with most of the entries and found out that prose is really different from essays.

oh okay, so here it goes.

the Touhou Project is set in the universe known as Gensokyo.

Gensokyo is a fantasy universe, bears similarity to Japan in historical ages.

The characters has a reference to historical mythologies and folklores. Though I don't really know for the minor characters. It was known that many people in here has a fondness for alcohol and parties.

The universe is mostly set as peaceful, but there are times of incidents too. Usually solved by a shrine maiden with her friends.

I think if someone did that for the fanfiction, it would be all right.

That said, I have created another thread in the Writing Section. I am going to fill it up the next few days with parodies.

well, unfortunately I did not start the fanfiction that way, which made it somehow torn into numbnuts and I have no single clue on what to continue it.

and well yeah, what lies in my mind is that I want to end it as quickly as possible on the finer lines.

A happy or horrible ending would do. I prefer the latter. End it like this:


In the end, we all die. Just be content with the knowledge that I somehow died at the very end.

Holy moly, FGRaptor is like another coffee prince! Scathing and blunt, but quite constructive I'd say. I hope both make their rounds to me soon, they are giving truckloads of criticism.

That said, I found FGRaptor's criticism very useful. He pointed out problems with the content that I admit never crossed my mind. I still maintain that it is an analysis of a dictionary entry though.

I see but I suppose you have skimmed through one or two entries yes? I understand that I would have to wait until the polls begin before I can read your remark, but one is very curious.
