Not to me though. I consider literature to be anything that is over 300 pages in one book.
taking manga into consideration under your definition is would still count as most manga are written over a long period of time most of which reach 300 pages in their first few volumes.
a book as a work can reach that in a single volume but as manga are different their stories are stretched into serialized volumes as a whole 1 story told over several volumes would still be considered literature by your definition.
Yeah... I just realized that. I was just going on the good old books that people used to read. Like "War and Peace", or "The Good Earth". Books like that.
