Ah!!! somehow, I managed to at least finish this without ripping my hair. Never knew I'd hate wordpad so much. ;m; I hope you can help me point out any mistakes on this, or where I can improve.

Don't think so. I'm afraid we might not be able to get every participants on Skype. And that would make an incomplete chat group.

Or just use that thread for discussions there because that's what that thread is partly for, probably.

So I take it if the thread has been made, what does the purpose of Writers' Lounge hold for then? So is it going to be a more-like an easy-going chat thread for writers while the moar serious thing goes to that thread?

I dunno. That and this are different things. This isn't a school, that one is, though.

You can't expect everyone to use this thread for that one. It is a fact, you've tried multiple ways to advertise and tried a lot. I did a few times as well. It doesn't work. We could consider if people actually showed up instead of lurking, maybe. But we don't get new people posting here at all. If there's anything to talk about, I'm sure that it can be handled in a few posts in that thread.

You wouldn't want anything regarding that thread to mix up with other conversations in this thread either, right?

That thread is not a chat thread. That is a thread specifically made for writing improvement via making people actually write something and helping them out. It's more... direct and faster.

This is a more carefree chat. Sometimes we're not even talking about writing here.

Many people are too busy IRL maybe, I also don't know why so many folks only came for the contest and left shortly after duh~

Kind of obvious that they didn't come for the community, but the prizes. That's what a contest is all about anyway.

And it's crystal clear this time as well - the prizes are physical; DVD, h-anime and mangas - which are well-worth winning more than ever in my eyes. It's not just a title that makes you proud, receive praises and look special here.

I didn't really thought about the prizes tbh, more like hey it's an opportunity to improve myself and get to read many stories =D

Sometimes I truly wonder, whether the winners will make an actual contribution on the section after the contest's over or simply abandon it just like that

That's not how everything thinks, though. And that's the reality, everyone in general wants to win prizes, some people just don't case much about them and join in for the fun of it all.

Who knows. I hope they do. Only time will tell.
