hmmm for friends IRL I really do only have a few but for the most part I neither see them value their spouse/gf/bf over friends or vice versa

and online it is hard to say for that

and yeah I do have online friends and of course you are considered one of them =P

Perhaps, I suspect such behaviour applies to a greater number of males than females.

Why do I say so? There have been quite a few occasions where I have organized outings in advance, informing my friends of the time and venue, and they have agreed to attend. However, at the last minute, they may pull out, citing reasons such as having to accompany their significant other.

Therefore, is it the fault of my friends for giving me false hopes of attendance, or is it the fault of their significant other in preventing them from joining these outings?

Let's hope that way.... we should sticky this!! Lol.


On Topic: Never been in any relationships. Which you may already know. I'm just hatd by girls for my terrible looks, unfortunately, girls thinks more about the looks than anything else, at least, that's what it seems like.

I have bad experiences with friends, as I had already mentioned on this thread, I never had a true friend, all of people I called "friends" were mean and evil in one way or the other, making me disregard them as friends, and instead, I'd call them my acquaintances. There is just one person who is making me feel confused, I dunno whether I can call him a friend or an acquaintance, he's really mean and sarcastic, but he shows friendliness as well. I dunno, I can't say that I hate him or say that he didn't act like a jerk either. *sigh*

Right now I have one acquaintance, who says that I'm his childhood friend, but treats me like shit anyway, all he ever does is asking me to introduce him to girls around the net so that he can flirt, while IRL he'd flirt around more girls, he even once said that he'll try to be on a relationship with a girl around the net even if she has a BF already, meaning he'd be on a relationship with a double timing girl. LOL. He's the worst. I can't believe that I just talk normally and don't ditch him right off the bat, he was always like this, and selfish as well, he'd always takes notes and stuff, and would beg me to help with his homeworks, until I'd agree to help, but he'd never return the favor by helping me as well. >_>

And, he said that he won't take relationships seriously until he gets older... my point is, why be on a relationship if you're not serious? Isn't it just like using a girl for your own selfish joy, desire, etc?

Edit: Do we talk about the friends we have over the internet as well for this topic?

[font=verdana][color=green]Probably a bit of both, Gambler. The friend might have had a bit of doubt and then asked their significant other; who them expressed a slight desire to enjoy their company themselves. Duly, the friend was guilt-tripped into staying with the significant other.

Hmm....I wish I had something to contribute to this topic as well. I've never really had any problems here either; generally speaking, I drift through friendships, letting them go left, right and centre.

Some people claim that friends are there to be taken advantage of. To a certain extent, they may be right. Some people only require friends when looking for company or assistance on a certain matter, while others may view friendship as something important, going through thick and thin without question.

The world seems rather unfair at times, isn't it? Some males get lots of luck with girls, while others can only view from the sideline. Perhaps we should simply allow nature and fate to take its course.

You may be right. Both parties may be partly at fault. I should tell myself to expect a lower attendance for these gatherings, after taking into consideration the last minute absentees. :D Alternatively, I could invite their significant other too, if they are willing.

Next time, we will discuss a problem which you have. Then again, you seem like quite an easy-going person. :D

The saying "bros before hoes" is anything but. Even my childhood friends whom ive been friends with for around 12 years now would choose their partner over me in instances. It's a sad reality, but one that is understandable.

You've got to realize that a guy and a girl CAN'T stand on equal terms. It is much harder to maintain a gf than it is a mate. If you're on bad terms with a mate, after a few drinks you're all good to go again. A girl on the other hand is a different story.

The major difference in guys that get lots of girls and guys that don't is simple. It's confidence.

You're not winning the lottery if you don't buy a ticket. Use those bad pick up lines, make a fool of yourself. Hell sure most girls might not like it adn think you're a moron but you'll find a few that will and think you're funny. Stop over-thinking things and just do it. This is my personal opinion.

You are definitely right. If we attempt to fight a battle, there is a chance we may win it. If we don't even try, victory will never come our way. Which is why I am trying my best right now... although the results are not exactly good, to say the least.

i've been in serious relationship twice but not ended very well.
first time was when i'm in high school junior year.a classmate of mine loves me being who i am but unfortunately,i'm a real dumbass at that time so i really regret it after i broke up with her.
second one was in art college in malaysia.this time i'm the one that confess to her.we were pretty great together but in the end,she's just another bitch that cheated on me.
since then,most of the time i like someone they always already have a BF.
i guess i'm unlucky in this kind of thing.*sigh*

well,other than the users in here most of my friends are back in my home country and akiba.
when i was a kid till freshmen in highschool,most of them are befriend of me because of my wealth and that's what i hate.i moved to jakarta at junior year living with my sister in an apartment at first until she left to Pittsburgh,US leaving me alone with her cat to take care.

at that time,i was kinda an addict to Online Game Ragnarok online but luckly these 2 guys that later i called them by nickname helped me to not being a total Online Game addict but still can enjoy the game.
at first we were having normal high school life until they know about my otaku life.at first i recommend them to watch "School Rumble" which at first they know it as a manga.later,they began to borrow my other anime collection and ended up likes anime,manga and games but not as extreme as i am.lol.thus began our beautiful friendship that holds strong even until now.
one of the guys did have a GF but she was a classmate and i helped him to get together.sometimes at saturday night,the four of us likes to hang out in the mall to watch movies,anime,manga&figure hunt and occasionally having dinner together(which 60% of the time i always paying for it all.lol).sometimes when those couples having a fight,i always have to listen to the rant and make them back together.

now because i'm in japan,they always ask me "when are you coming home,dude?!" or "GET YOUR ASS BACK HERE!!!" in Facebook or SMS.lol.they even worried sick and gather our other friends to wish me to be alright at the time where the japan earthquake happens.when i managed to get back home and posted "I'M OKAY!",they immediately posted and saying "DDDUUUUDDDDEEEEE!!!! I MISS YOU SO MUCH! i thought you turned into real ghost like your username in Fakku! OH~i'm gonna HUG YOU AND KISS YOU ALL OVER!!!".then i reply "dude...you gay.lmao!".

now that stupid couple is getting engaged,the other one is having a 18 year old GF and i'm.....forever alone.*sigh*.
they still contacted me the most in FB and always wanted me to go home PRONTO! i guess i'm the big bro in the group.lol.

for akiba bros,we were great,hang out together in akiba,comiket and TGS but sometimes we still have that culture and language barrier so it was ok.i do teach them english when i have free time and before they having an english test in college.we were a team too when we played Gundam Extreme VS and we like to peek at figurine skirts at hobby shop.hehehe....
it's still kinda hard to hang out in one of our houses because we lived at really scattered places so kinda hard to do that.but we make it up to hang out in the arcade,college and sometimes maid cafe.lol.

Humans just don't know that ghosts and bears have it tough when it comes to relationships. But we will continue to fight~~~!

Please kindly refer to the opening post for more details. Mainly because I am a thick-skinned bear! *Cough Cough*

As I don't have family and rarely any supports I don't tend to make a big deal out of my birthday (other than the fact I like to have it as a day to relax lol)

I do not discourage when my friends do say happy birthday or just wanna hang out that day. But from how I grew up I learned not to expect too much because if you did and it never happends it tends to be somewhat of a let down and your birthday can feel worse for it. that is why I tend not to make a bigger deal about it but dont complain if my friends do lol

I always think of my birthday as Me surviving another year so of course it is something to be happy about :D

I would think you are quite a realistic and optimistic person, based on our conversations thus far.

Surviving another year would also indirectly mean that one has gained more knowledge and experience in life. :) Level up!

[font=verdana][color=green]Meh; my birthday means very little to me. I don't mention it to anyone, don't even go out for it - I only receive the cards from the family who obviously know it's my birthday that day.

Too much hassle. Too much of a waste of time. Just a number denoting how I've lived.

In that case, I guess we have different views on birthdays. Personally, I like to use birthdays (not only that of mine) as an excuse to celebrate, with family members and friends. And to indulge in some form of relaxation (some call it slacking) from work. ^_^;;

I guess, even at 19 years old, I enjoy celebrating birthdays. Though, more and more every year, it becomes less of a party, and more of a chance to spend time with loved ones. The whole family is usually busy all year long, so even one day-off is a huge relief. I'm also one of those people who value family and friends very highly.

Each birthday also reminds me that time passes by faster than we can imagine. So, for those who just sit idly all day (no offense to other Fakkuzas :P), take your birthday as an alarm. You're gonna get more responsibilities and work, but the payoff is all worth it. So wake up, 'cause life is calling! :D

Yup, I noticed that too. Based on my observation of friends, they first started out with parties at clubs and pubs, but as they grew older, it became simple gatherings among close friends to have dinner or engage in some other slow-paced, leisurely activities.

That being said, I think you mentioned something about studying abroad soon? Will you be able to celebrate your upcoming birthdays with family members and friends?

Unfortunately, I am slightly older than the average Fakku member. I will be turning 27 near the end of August. I will reveal more details as the date approaches. Start preparing your PMs and well-wishes! :P
