I usually just consider it SKS's older and bigger brother even though that isn't entirely true. It's still humorous to think of.
On another note, we might be seeing a cute little thing coming to the conceal carry market.
Taurus' new "Curve" .38 ACP conceal carry pistol is an interesting thing that's been announced recently. Not only is is particularly small but it's main design feature(which it gets its name from) is that it's frame is curved to fit into the user's grip better and sit along the contour of their body. It is a semi-automatic, DA only polymer pistol that loads a 6 round magazine meaning 7 rounds total. Total length is 5.18 inches or 13.2 centimeters and weighs 290 grams(unassumingly unloaded). For the most part, this pistol is made completely out of polymer plastic, save for the steel slide and barrel obviously.
The pistol has an integrated laser and light(which I personally don't like but understand) and features a trademark "Bore axis sighting system" which comprises of a lateral and longitudinal line intersecting at where the bore of the barrel would be at the rear of the slide. Interesting design and definitely helps give it less profile than conventional sights.
What I find adorable about this is how it has the little clip on the side like a common pocket knife. It's good because that removes the need for a holster which I imagine would be a fucking pain to get that fits this shape, unless you've got experience with using Kydex ofc.
Overall, I think this is an interesting pistol. Definitely wouldn't be my choice for CC(not that I'm allowed to here) at least until it's reliability is proved. Taurus have a bit of a bad rep when it comes to their 1911s from what I remember.
