I agree, Val. The non-aggression principle is something that should be common sense nowadays. Sadly, it isn't so and there are people who are more concerned about being politically correct than letting people be. You have the ignorant who think it's better not to let people do something potentially dangerous but enjoyable rather than addressing the risks and properly mitigating them. To paraphrase a quote; My right to swing my fist ends where your nose begins.
But enough of that because I can see that people don't much want to engage in such topic. As you said, if you're not interested you very well won't be a part of it.
Whose watching what from this anime season? I tried getting into SAO II for the sake of the guns but for something so focused around that area, there were so many details that I couldn't help nitpick. So I ended up trashing it and rehabilitated with a rewatch of Jormungand.
Jormungand pretty much is the cure when you find disappointing gun fighter anime. On the topic of this anime season, like all seasons, I'm downloading more than half of the series coming out based on how interesting the synopsis provided is and then also not watching it because I'm backlogged on anime almost a year behind. And the log continues to pile. T_T
Also this:
While I know this is meant to be a joke, the blood(if real) smeared on the board almost makes me believe he went about doing this like in the instructions if not for how cleanly cut it was.
Jormungand is good gun anime.. Mr. Val. But recently my friend(he's into Jormungand recently) realized that on some occasions when they fire away their guns at some ranges (mostly close) and put some shots in.. they mostly missed. Is that some kind of suppressive fire or something? or maybe they just have a bad aim? Plus, Hollywood Suppressor mounted on Lehm's MK23 at S1 episode 3.(the suppressor is apparently fake as muzzle flash is still shown)
Just just took a look at it. To be a nitpicker they screwed up the scale of Mk. 23 because that thing is huge for a pistol (also weights empty same as fully loaded CZ 75 with full new production mag).
Silencers let out a puff of smoke when fired so they might have tried to replicate that and messed up. To be perfectly honest when you put a can on the handgun most of the smoke goes out the ejection port and the intensity builds up as shots go.
One good thing about a .45 is that they are basically subsonic cartridge so silenced it doesn't loose so much as a 9mm which is based on being fast.
That's my take on it anyway, but I must agree with Val on one thing: The accuracy for things we know as exactly as behavior of silencers and different calibers goes out of the window when they have a need for cool even if there is someone who knows as much as we do.
Also there is this thing and I love it:
