Try to bomb less. Concept of surviving and scoring contradicts each other. IN demands you to survive without using bombs at all, yet you still have to retain the life count as if you use bombs or death-bombs to save your life. Aside from that, if you want to aim for a more intense scoring run, try to not use a focused character for more than 2 seconds during grazing/shooting at enemies with familiars/shooting at bosses. If you did it correctly, you would surpass even 2 billion easily. Though just like what it implied, it's not an easy feat.

I was aiming to get to 2 billion, but it just didn't work out. After that 8/28 run, I kept getting around 1.3-1.4 billion. :3
