Probably will go and try to 1cc PCB again sometime when I'm not lazy

Since my week of silence in IN training is essentially over here are some updates. It wasn't until late in the week did I get a good setup to comfortably play. Up until Thursday or so I was playing while sitting or lying on the floor. Numb hands are not conducive to scoring. The suitable setup I found was to put the laptop on top of two stacked coolers. The screen was right at eye level so it worked out. My new overall high score is 1.3bil. Along the way I learned a few tricks from stalking posts in this thread, watching videos on youtube, and from Pineapple (Yuyuko) who got spam PM-ed every day with a page of stuff.

To the keyboard players: have you ever tried reversing your hands? I normally use my right hand for the arrow keys and left for shot/focus/bomb. Due to lack of elbow room on aircraft I had to reverse that. I died very quickly in TD-easy that way but it was not until stage 4. Not sure if that is something to be proud of though.

Only enough so as to not over-crowd the text.

That's more than enough, though judging via in-game scenarios may works too; like for examples, Reimu's Extra Story, Marisa's Extra Story. From those points, you can try to analyze her attitude toward a certain person, and her response toward anything. Alternatively, you may want to try to read her entry in Grimoire of Marisa as well. Here I'm not saying that she may represents a specific symbol or anything in the way she fights, but at the very least, you will know her (possible) characteristics.

I'm not really a keyboard player myself. But I'm well aware that I have my own dominant arm that I rely on in anything I do, and I don't intend to change it. It's just the matter of which hand is your primary and what kind of method that you think you're most experienced in.

I checked Marisa's Grimoire, but nothing really stood out too much. I also have those extra story lines as well, just so I can get actual quotes from in-game. ^^



What scares you about it? All I can say is that I got lucky. I had 999/1000 point items as soon as I got to the Reflowering of the Saigyou Ayakashi. I had no extra lives, and noone bomb left. >__>

Actually, I just want to ask : Does anybody want to share their thought in regard to respective team or your own IN experience so far ? If so, please just shoot the pew pew.

Regarding me i've had the feeling that Reimu homing bullets were weaker respect to the others game, less effective against enemies, frankly i went through the staged mostly in focused mode as Yukari shoot was more accurate and powerful...

.... Did you suffer lags during your playthrough ? I just noticed the 0.8 in the slowdown rate. On topic about bullet, I personally think Reimu's weaker homing amulet is useful to deal with familiars that you must not kill indiscriminately during scoring run.

I said for most of the time not for all, also i was referring to the runs before that one.
Anyway on that last one i grazed bullet crazy, so that's i got a score like that, i belive.
Also no, it didn't lag at all but at some moment the computer freeze for a little bit, and so did the game, luckily i didn't get hit.

About the highscore thingy, do you 1cc it? Or was the {C} got from using continues?

Jenkins said both are acceptable. You get the C from both methods. I think 1-cc is worth more points in the game though.

Question to everyone: Do you play with music on? Does it distract you? Does it help you concentrate?

For me:
No. When I'm playing to win I have the speakers muted. Anytime I'm focusing on anything I don't hear much anyways. The only time I play with music is when the game its easy enough I can do it without much effort. Sometimes I use the music for timing until I have a sequence memorized.
