It's a tempting idea to use a character individually, but there are a lot of people who have yet to master one person at a time, including me. Given how short this mini event is, I went with the safer and simpler idea, which is by using the actual team instead.

Do we have a sample submission post yet? Or is it just like what you posted before the event actually started. Where we just post a screenshot of our high score screen.

So my first 3 runs on IN result in a success as i completed the game without using continue and ad almost hit 900.000.000

Looking at the development of you both tempts me to try harder, or more precisely try to whip Zafira even harder so he can get better than he already is. Has anybody heard about BiBi and Rin's team ? I myself have yet to hear any, not even their avatars manage to give me any event-related vibe.

I don't think BiBi has talked to Rin yet... Though he did say he'd prefer the Scarlet Devil Team.

Aside from the price, it looks very good. Here I only have a Toho donjon from Pattsuan back when he visited me, which accidentally also became my first Toho item ever. It's not that I don't appreciate his kindness, I just kinda feel bad because I didn't obtain my first item by my own money or effort.

Well, in time I have money to buy things by my own, Kasen will and should be my first victim. It's fate.

I wanted my first ever item to be something about Cirno, but they were all out of Cirno stuff... she's surprisingly popular...

Yeah, FOG was trying to tell me that he'd be willing to give me freebie stuff, but I adamantly told him that I would have to pay for anything I wanted. I don't like getting freebie stuff.

It's not really surprising if some people probably have her as their first known character ever. There are many infamous videos featuring her, like for examples Chirumiru Cirno and Cirno's Perfect Math Class. Not to count that she is now somewhat a meme due to her ⑨ influence for 09/09/2009 being the strongest day ever, just to name one of many many examples.

Cirno is well-loved/abused by fans. It's natural if some ordinary people (ones who know not toho) to get involved in their ⑨ parade and ended up being her fans.

Most difficult is the Robe of the Fire Rat... Can't seem to get it just right... Tried 50 times, and died every single time... It's insane. Need to rest just underneath Kaguya's belt, without getting hit by the fire. The lasers are easy to dodge, if I can just figure out where that safe zone box is...

Ghost team... third hardest to use, but the easiest to get the highest score... especially with Youmu.

Quite a sensitive subject you just invoked there, Zandwarf.
It's subjective, but most people believe Aria of Forbidden Magic Team to be the hardest to use, yet having the biggest potential to score the most; mainly due to their mobility, which is also a dual-edged blade. Usual hierarchy is like this :

From the easiest to hardest.
Illusionary Boundary Team -> Netherworld Dweller Team -> Vampire Team -> Aria of Forbidden Magic Team.

Your mileage may vary. This is just the usual pattern that most people believe in.
Just remember Youmu in TD; she is believed to be the hardest to use, yet able to score the most. On the other hand, the relatively easier ones like Sanae and Reimu are on the bottom of score-getters list.

I only tried the spell card about 50 times. And I can't even find the damn box still. lol.




I did say the Ghost team would be the THIRD hardest, which would make it the second easiest. I don't agree with the AoFM Team being the hardest though. I personally think that the SD Team would be the hardest.

From the National Scores (Japan and USA) that I've seen on the Touhou Wiki, Youmu seems to nearly always out beat any of the teams, specifically because of her ability of -50% to 50% on the youkai meter, in which case she can start earning Time Orbs when she hits either -30% or 30%.

Sorry for posting in a while. Decided to go shut-in in the Netherworld for the event. Hopefully my hair will go blond after a period of screaming.



SD team is quite easy to use. Treat them like the Illusionary Border Team but with fixed targeting instead of homing when focused. Sakuya's spread shot plays similarly to Reimu when unfocused. Its a step harder than the IB team more so because of power lacking than technicality mentioned above. If they had power at ND team or IB team level they would be my go-to team.

I was just sharing public opinion, not saying that you were wrong or anything. My statement about your mileage may vary still stands. If you look at the hierarchy, the hardest teams both face Reimu in their 4th stage. After playing with Aria of Forbidden Magic Team for awhile, I begin to realize that Reimu is probably my worst enemy in attempt for scoring, and also Aria of Forbidden Magic Team as the hardest to score due to their greater firepower-rate and mobility.

Don't forget that I didn't say anything about the hardest to use for overall. All in all, I agree that Aria of Forbidden Magic Team is easy to use in attempt for surviving, but not in scoring. To score better than the others, they need a somewhat unique strategy that demands more accurate positioning than any others. Much more profit earned but also riskier and hard to execute.

I didn't play a lot, and I assume you to play more and better than me, so I'd prefer to abstain in such discussion. But given that I am now playing it, I manage to notice the differences between team's specialties, potential, and their opponents. Scarlet Devil Team at least has bigger hitbox to help them in attempt of grazing, like in Reimu's spellcards, without initiating an extreme move like Aria of Forbidden Magic Team.



Exactly, but don't you remember that her shot type is the only direct one among all ? It's noticeably hard to maintain the direction of her shooting style albeit precise. Making it harder to maintain the meter as something with 50% and 50% tend to stay in the middle, which is like the worst position.

This is one example of what I said about a more complex discussion. Glad to have you on-board.

Take care of my favorite team well .... though I also recall you didn't really like Netherworld Dwellers team, why would you use them ? It's not like power is what you would emphasize in the attempt for scoring. Do you have the same reason as me (something like you cannot see your partner under specific character's light) ?

Reimu is the hardest to score off of, but she is far easier than Marisa in terms of spellcards they use. Did you know you can replicate the Malice Canon in MoF MarisaB with the AoFM Team?



I remember, which is why I'd rather prefer the SD team over the ND team. The only thing that makes the ND team usable, in my opinion, is the fact that the Human gauge is half sized, and Yuyuko's wide spread shot type for clearing tons of enemies at one time.
