Let's assume not all readers know Japanese stuffs like 'Heian period' for example. It's nearly impossible for everyone to possess the knowledge of such thing. Therefore, it's much more preferable to be informative in your writing, even for just a tiny bit. Just like in fansubbing; making your viewers, or readers in this case, to open dictionary/google for an alien-ish term while reading your story is considered a sin. Here I am not telling you to reveal your main focus or further development in said choice, but at least you have to include a short teasing description to give us readers the reason to choose it.

However, it's safe to assume that every Touhou-related terms, like 'youkai' for example, is within their dictionary's entries. So you don't have to bother with that one.

In my opinion, you've done a great job for it, as explained in detail by Zufi. I'll be giving you other inputs again in time I manage to finish reading all of them.

If further modification isn't needed, then it isn't cheating. The word you're seeking for is probably 'feature'. If I may know, why were you using only Alice? She is the most focused character there in my opinion, it's notably harder to deal with Mokou.

MAlice Cannon and 3-OP lasers I still consider cheating. To replicate Kefit's video and because Hourai Doll ends in its 2nd stage if done right. I can't say whether its harder or not due to lack of attempts with anyone else but thats good that its harder with Alice. Mokou has this nice phoenix shaped hitbox anyways so its not like shes hard to hit.

No, Sasami-san, you're not supposed to demand for harder challenges. To shake the hand of victory, any available method is welcomed, which also includes the exploitation of programmer's blunder. Morality debate aside, can you use (only) Youmu in IN properly?

Warning beforehand, I am not saying this as someone who has completed Mokou's stage or someone who has trained/replayed a lot for said stage; I am just someone who has watched several playthroughs by different players before.

2nd part of Possessed by Phoenix is the one that features two familiars shooting blue arrow-like danmaku, right? Are those two familiars rotating or do they just follow your movements?

Yes it is. Its not just two though. If you move quickly you will see several spawn that shoot at your location (which is fixed the instant they start shooting). They do not rotate just aim and shoot.

People commonly do that part by rotating closely around one of the familiars.

Several other names are close in spelling, but thats just way off the mark.

After "to" that sentence just crashed and burned. The riddle has no answer btw. Mokou and Kaguya's lives already suck, living through unbearable pain, dying, resurrecting and repeating. Suicide has probably been tried by both of them already.



Note that the familiars are timed. When they spawn they wait a bit before aiming and shooting at you. That video you saw was someone moving slow enough so that the familiars spawn on top of each other.

It can be done that way if you are careful. I don't like that method because I use up a lot of close quarters concentration in Fujiyama Volcano and the up tapping method serves as a short break from the rest of the stage.

EDIT: Somehow I got the timing right and got the spellcard 5 of 7 times, then stopped and couldn't get it again. If it wasn't for the timing in the 2nd part, the rest of the spellcard is easy now. I tried the rotating thing, its going to take time to learn. I'm more comfortable with Fujiyama Volcano now too.
