Has your friend even seen the Avatar series?

Only a few episodes, and she only liked Tenzin because je voiced a character she liked in Portal. Which was kind of like a slap in the face, since Tenzin is so awesome on his own... Why wouldn't you even give the series or the characters a chance to grow on you before you judge it so harshly as crap?

I know,right?
But some things cannot be helped...

I love this show dearly. I can tell it's going to have a LOAD of twists and turns in the series, and seems to be a lot more emphasized on espionage/drama/action then from the last airbender. But now who want's to see something semi sadistic/hilarious I found?

I enjoy the show very much ^_^ The characters are fun and quirky and the bad guys are evil and obnoxious just what you hate in them right? XD and the story line is a classic one that can be recognized even today.

I really dislike the setting.

Honestly though I miss the focus on the mythos, the avatar isn't a fucking superhero that rides around in a car chasing steampunks on motorcycles.

A 10 episode series, REALLY!?! Man, I somehow blame muthafuckin spongebob series for this. I'll probably change my opinion about this.

EPisode 9: Out of the Past

Season Final: June 23
After the season ends, people are going to compared the hell of the two. There is one thing true about the two series. The first Team Avatar is better the new Team Avatar

Episode 9

Well, that's dumb. Yeah, J.K. Simmons really brings out the character in Tenzin, but he's awesome anyway! Likewise, to remember Simmons mainly because of Portal 2 is another shame. He's done equally amazing roles in his entire career.

Just curious, which X-Men is your friend comparing it to? The original, Evolution, Wolverine, or something?

She didn't even put that much thought to it. She just said: "People protesting against those with powers as being dangerous to society = X-Men."

Yea that's Korra avatar not Aang avatar with that whole x-men thing. But I wouldn't let my friends opinion on a show ruin it for me.

Got to say this episode bugged me. The flashback wasn't awesome, the actual looking for Korra and other stuff was short and pointless. The flashbacks seem useless now and so is Tarlok. I thought this was going to be some big feud creating with some secret in the past that would help the present. BIG FUCKING NOPE.AVI!!! That flashback did nothing for us and Tarlok's role in this show was wasted.

Knowing this is going to end in june 23rd is also making me go wtf. Yeah and Amon shaking off the bloodbending, I'm just really questioning now what's going on with him.

Also what's making me even more mad is that there was pretty good character development in today's ep. of Young Justice than this fcking episode.

It feels like they've been forced to cut material.




Yeah it's pretty jarring, feels off. Doesn't ruin the show, though.


Ep. 9 started out dark as FUCK... and I wish it had stayed that way.

Most important plot point of Ep. 9:
Bei Fong fixing Bo-Lin's fly. Now we know where she was looking. Clearly Bo-Lin needs a "mommy..." and Bei Fong is willing to provide... oh yeah.

Wait,only 10 episodes?!
It might just be a season clincher, and not the end of the series as a whole.
If we're lucky,that is.

Or maybe Nickelodeon is being a cheap bitch and not giving them the funding they deserve.

Now I seriously hope they never unmask Amon. Humanizing him that way would ruin the character.

All awesome masked guys are unmasked eventually. It's a sad reality really.

Tenzin does have a brother, Bumi, named after Aang's friend (the old Earth bender). Whether he is a bender, nothing has been mentioned about that.

It's one more episode next week then a 1 hour special the following week for the season finale. Season finale, not series finale, so calm down people there's plenty more Avatar to come.
