Dakimakuras anyone?

Yeah, it is a total bummer. I am thinking about ordering this Ask Manabe Nodoka cover from Mandrake:

Anyone know if you can find it cheaper? I know that it's been sold out just about everywhere else I've looked. Also, don't know if she's cream filled or not, but either way it is ridiculously hot and have been wanting it for a while now. >:3

Hmm, had actually thought about buying that one myself but decided to show some self restraint. Honestly, it's a good deal. Even if you found it a little cheaper (if I recall, most HOP covers tend to be a bit high on the retail price), it may not be worth the difference after proxy fees. I didn't look though, so I couldn't say.

• Did anyone else experience a short outage with FAKKU just a while ago?
  

• I just [accidenitally] placed an order on Evening Call for the Alice, Dizzy and two of the C81 Touhou covers (I thought I was clicking the back button, instead clicked confirm/order). So I then forwarded my order confirmation to their info@eveningcall.net email address asking if it could be paid by PayPal. Anyone else try this before? If not, we'll see what they come back with.

I wish there was a Nice Morrigan daki that's draw by the same artist, the only other one I saw was what Shashin has but the artstyle isn't my cup of tea.

And boncool has send me a notification mail that Sena has been shipped, looking forward to it on Thursday or Friday.

Yeah, my Sena shipped the other day; it has been in customs for a few days, so I'll probably get it tomorrow. And yeah, they don't have a Paypal system set up yet, but who knows, maybe they already have an account and will allow you to manually send payment for the time being. Either way, hopefully it will encourage them to get their system up and running sooner than later.

Got my Sena and Yozora. :3 No omake though. :/

I finally found someone to make a pillow but they don't do cluster fiber until march, think a normal polyster fill will be good? Sucks being in Canada sometimes! Time to verse yourselves in the pillows as well as the covers boys!

I was thinking of getting just Sena, then Shashin suggested, "if you get both, you can sleep with both at the same time."

Polyesterfill is good for pillows if you plan on just displaying them. However, if you are thinking of actually sleeping with your daki, then I really must highly recommend cluster fiber and not polyester. The cluster fiber has more volume and is far more resistant in getting flat. I'm thinking of getting another pillow myself because my polyester pillow has gotten a bit flat, and isn't the proper 160x50cm size, while my cluster fiber pillow is still full of volume and good to go. :3

Also, as a point to note. Just because a cover is 160x50cm (equivalent to 63x20 inches) doesn't mean you should get a pillow that is exactly that. I did that with a pillow, and there was still a lot of empty space that was unfilled mainly because the tricot daki stretches a bit. When I ordered my cluster fiber pillow, I made sure to get a pillow that was sufficiently larger than my daki so that it would fill the daki up completely. If you get a 68x20 inch pillow (172x50cm), it will fill your daki without any gaps. Plus, the extra 12 cm will just be crushed anyways.

So when I finally got this pillow. I put on one of my 160cm daki over it, and i think about 2-3 cm of the actual pillow stuck out (by pillow, i mean, the fabric that covers the filling. the filling itself was all in there with my daki), which I just shoved into the daki, then zippered it up. It felt full and very "huggable". Couldn't be happier to have a hug-worthy pillow. :3

Needless to say, I'm not using my 63x20in pillow. It's a polyester fill lol. It's just sort of sitting in a box all lonely and stuff. Maybe I should pull it out and put a 150cm daki over it.

Would you mind telling me where you ordered your pillow from? I think I'm going to have to try to get a proxy service to order a custom sized one from like united pillows to then get it shipped to me.

I'm glad you told me about getting the bigger size, I thought I only need like an extra inch but apparently you do want more.

Also, what about adding to the width? like 21 inch instead of 20

Wow, that Sena looks awesome! I just decided on my latest dakimakura and paid for her just now. I decided to get the Rin from Evening Call. She looks gorgeous and unfortunately I had to give up on Saeko since they both end at the same. I think this Rin looks amazing, and I love the artwork. When I seen it I immediately knew I'd want it, but had to give it some thought because I can only afford one dakimakura right now.

I got mine from royalpillow.com, because i live in Florida. But since you're in Canada, the shipping will probably be more expensive. I could be wrong.
As for the width, I kept it at 20 inches wide, but it certainly wouldn't hurt to make it 21.

I seriously thought about the Rin but decided against it. Wish I could get my hands on the other cover pen did for Evening Call, though; it is absolutely beautiful. Cellphone posting sucks, btw. D:

Yeah, cellphone posting is definitely not fun by any means. But hey, it could be worse: you could have to post from the Wii, using a Wii Remote. Eff that noise.

Most certainly. Or even just the regular cost of shipping a japanese pillow to North America.... a bit on the ridiculous side imo.



I've used w-canvas via proxy, but never tried D-stage. I figure they are similar since they're both consignment shops.

You know, my A and J pillows are 160 x50 but they fit perfectly with All my covers even those elusive 170 x 50 ones.
But I guess the reason is being that the filling is polyester silicone.

Also I never understood most of you, you can afford to buy many covers that cost way more then what a pillow and shipping included may cost. But buying one pillow is like killing you. Does not compute.
