Eva 01, Neon Genesis Evangelion....its agile and its pretty realistic in the sense that it needs a power supply
I think every mechas needs a power supply. for example, some Gundams need ultracompact energy battery, ultracompact nuclear fission reactor, or solar panel as their source of energy, while Getter Robo needs Getter Ray energy as their energy source, even the old Mazinger Z uses photon energy.
About agility, it is relative to the robot category. As for super robot category like Getter Robo, Daitran 3, etc which have big and tall body like Eva, their movement is slow compared to real robots which have small-medium sized body and fast movement like Gundam, Macross, etc.
So if we compare Eva with the other super robots, Eva can be considering into the fastest one. but one weakness is Eva cannot fly while most of the super robots can fly. Besides, its armor is not durable against enemy attack, only depends on AT Field making it not suitable for super robot category.
Then if we compare Eva with real robot category, its big and tall body makes Eva's movement is much slower than common real robots. Also, the berserk Eva 01 makes Eva more impossible to be considered as real robot.
So, in my conclusion Eva is nowhere between Real Robot category nor SUper Robot category.
In other words, Eva isn't as realistic as you thought.
no offense after all... I just want to share my idea. ^_^
