Remember my scary mono-black deck that was all about killing shit?
I've been working hard on it in the past few days, tell me what you guys think.
Creatures
Blind Zealot x3 (3drop 2/2, Intimidate, Whenever Blind Zealot deals combat damage to a player, you may sacrifice it. If you do, destroy target creature that player controls.[/h])
Desecration Demon x2 (4drop 6/6, Flying, At the beginning of each combat, any opponent may sacrifice a creature. If a player does, tap Desecration Demon and put a +1/+1 counter on it.[/h])
Gatekeeper of Malakir x3 (2drop 2/2, Kicker
B, When Gatekeeper of Malakir enters the battlefield, if it was kicked, target player sacrifices a creature.[/h])
Inkfathom Infiltrator x4 (2drop 2/1, Can't block + unblockable)
Ogre Marauder x3 (3drop 3/1, Whenever Ogre Marauder attacks, it cant be blocked this turn unless defending player sacrifices a creature.[/h])
Royal Assassin x3(3drop 1/1, Tap too destroy target tapped creature)
Tormented Soul x4 (1drop 1/1, can't block + unblockable)
Toshiro Umezawa x1 (Legendary, 3drop 2/2, Bushido 1 (When this blocks or becomes blocked, it gets +1/+1 until end of turn.) Whenever a creature an opponent controls dies, you may cast target instant card from your graveyard. If that card would be put into a graveyard this turn, exile it instead.[/h])
Spells
Doom Blade x2, Geth's Verdict x2, Go for the Throat x4, Murder x4, Ultimate Price x2
Planeswalkers
Sorin Markov x1, Liliana of the Dark Realms x1
I actually think you might want more Umezawa, since you can rebuy all those kill spells. He's a sort of black Snapcaster Mage, just having the drawback of being Legendary. Also, I'm not a big fan of Blind Zealot, but I haven't played a game with this deck, so I don't know, maybe it is good. I just feel you have so many ways to kill things that you may just want things to bash with rather than having a sacrificial creature to kill more. You have Royal Assassin as a repeatable killspell already and Umezawa to buy back those spells you've spent.
EDIT: Aha... So I know my friend who plays a lot of Naya in damn near every format I think is gonna like some of the new Boros cards. At the very least, it looks good enough for that Humans deck to go White-Red rather than White-Green, to me. In any case, I like free, repeatable Lightning Helixes (however the plural is said/spelled)
