I know plenty of movie with a philosophical message. Fight Club is probaly the best one. I'll add it to the list...

I think fight club is more psychological than philosophical. hehehe. but that just me. XD

The movie makes philosophy out off psychological characters and their mental state.
They ask questions like "Is it normal to be normal?" and "Is being normal good?".
The question is what does it mean to be normal.

Chihiro ska precis flytta (dom är i bilen) när hennes pappa bestämmer sig att ta en genväg till huset. Dom kommer vilse men hittar en tunnel.
Hennes föreldrar blir nyfikna och gå vidare och kolla vad som finns på andra sidan tunneln.
Chihiro tvekar med en gång, men hon blir övertalad av hennes föreldrar att följa med.
Dom upptäker att det finns ett reservat på andra sidan.
Hennes pappa fångar in en doft av mat och vill ängslig gå och kolla var den kommer från.
Dom hittar en öde by, och pappan hittar maten men ingen är där, dom bestämmer sig att äta först och betala när ägaren kommer tillbaka, han och mamman hugger in. Chihiro vill inte äta.
Hon går för att kolla omkring - Senare - hon hittar ett stort slott liknade hus.
Hon kollar förundrat på den - det blir snabbt mörkare - en pojke kommer och förklarar att hon måste stick till andra sidan floden.
Utan att veta vad som pågår springer hon först till sina föreldrar som -Whops- har förvandlas till grisar.
Hon flipar.... vad händer sen? Se filmen så får du vet!

Chihiro are on her way to their new house (She's in the car), when suddenly her dad decides to take a short cut. Instead of making it to the new house, they reach an tunnel.
Her parents gets curious and wants to see what's on the other side.
Chihiro hesitates but her parents convinces her to follow them.
And they discover a big reservation. (it almost looks like another country)
Her dad picks up a scent (of food) and anxiously he follows the scent.
They "find" a big village, they look around til' the dad finaly finds the food but the owner isn't there.
They decide to eat and then pay later. Chihiro doesn't want to eat.
She goes to look around - later - she finds a big castle looking house.
Without her knowledge it becomes darker, a boy runs to her and tells her to quickly get to the other side of the river.
She follows the boys orders but first she have to get her parents! -Whops- her parents are gone, the onlt thing she finds is two pigs.
She flips..... What will happen next? Watch the movie!

The highlights in this movie got to be the grotesque scenes, they makes it look so unpleasant as possible. This is a good movie for kidz not that new disney shit.

This tells i true story about a disformed man in the 1880's, who "worked" at a freak show almost his whole life. In til' the day he meets Frederick Treves (Anthony Hopkins) a surgeon who wants to change his life.
Frederick Treves tries to help Joseph Merrick aka The Elephant man with education.



You can't really believe what he have been trough, this movie is incredible. And the black-white only improves the quality of the movie. it makes it sadder.
If you have the time - watch it. You will not be disappointed.

Naruto: Blood Prison

The first 40 min felt like they took the concept from The Shawshank Redemption.
The rest was pretty much original but still very Naruto-ish.
"Main character gets framed.
Goes into prison.
Over commanding Director."
And they are some Cliches.

Other then that the movie reminds me of why i loved Naruto before.
The art-style and fighting animation is still top notch.
And yes he still ends everything with a RASENGAN.

Sakura - "Son of a gun! ("Gun" are you serious?)

The best Naruto movie so far (that doesn't say much, previous movies sucked hard), if i would give it a score it would be 8/10.
Not the best Anime movie, but it's okay. Worth watching.
Spirited Away and The Girl Who Leapt Through Time are better tho.

In this movie we saw Naruto giving it his all.

It was an interesting scene, where we wonder what he will do in this situation where he is at now.

We saw Naruto has a few tricks up his sleeve, and that he learned a valuable lesson, which is to never have fear.

I agree with you, 8/10 sounds good.

This is my third Bergman movie and i recently heard he's going to be on the one of the new moneybills. (200 Kr)
First part:
This movie is about a family who plays their role. Some good, some bad. Everybody wants to preserve the illusion that everyone is happy and doing good.
But in reality everyone is unhappy and the family is falling apart.

Second part:
Fanny and alexander meets their new father, a priest. Who isn't the nicest guy on the planet. Whenever he's involved in something, he's not to blame.
It was simply the other one's fault. And he uses the "weak" mother to his advantage.

I don't want to give too much away. Watch the movie! It's long (3 hours) but interesting. It takes you to the edge of your seat...
Some say it's about Ingmar Bergmans own life, i have no prove of that but if it was true then he had one tough childhood.
9.5/10 Best Bergman movie so far. This one is much easier to understand, and it got a christmas feel to it. (at least in the beginning)

The Girl Who Leapt Through Time(2006)

Imagine that you could “leap” through time, landing whenever and wherever you wanted. Well, that’s what Seventeen-year-old Makoto Konno was able to do. This anime film is mainly about how your decisions affect others, whether positively or negatively.

When delivering papers to a classroom, she stumbled upon a mysterious science room. While looking for the source of a noise in it, she slipped and landed on a small walnut-shaped device. On her way home, she Makoto is unable to stop her bike, as the brakes are faulty. She finds herself being vaulted over the rails, and ejected into the path of an oncoming train. But! Instead of being hit, she leaps through time, landing on an old woman. This leap projected her to earlier, where she had instead passed the old lady, instead. She gets up, terrified, and confused as to why she isn’t dead.

Later, she consults her Aunt, Kazuko, who explains to Makoto that she “time-leapt”. Makoto, with this newfound knowledge ventures to try leaping again. Makoto leaps countless times, some for a pudding, others to do the same karaoke for hours. Soon, however, she discovers that her actions adversely affect others.
Makoto uses many leaps to prevent her best friend, Chiaki form confessing to her. Even when not leaping, and in school, she finds herself avoiding him, afraid of his awkward confession.

One evening, she discovers a tattoo of a number on her arm. She determines that it denotes the amount of leaps remaining. Knowing this, she uses rest of the leaps to try and make things right for everyone. Unfortunately, it doesn’t always work. She spends many leaps trying to get her other best friends, Kosuke a girlfriend.

Although unsuccessful, the girls end up talking to him. In a cooking class, she stumbles, and makes a large mess out of things, including ruining another student’s meal. She uses a leap to switch stations with another student, Takase, and he ends up making the mess. But, the other angered student ends up bullying him. One evening, Takase, grabs a fire extinguisher and throws at at a crowd of students. Makoto leaps to prevent the extinguisher from hitting Chiaki, pushing him out of the way just in time. But! Remember that her actions affect everyone around her. The extinguisher then hits Kaho, a girl that likes Kosuke. Her arm is badly hurt, due to Makoto’s actions. Kosuke later gets Kaho as a girlfriend, after tending to her and hanging with her more and more.

Later, Makoto uses her last leap prevents Chikai from calling and asking her if she knows about time leaping. Later that day, she realizes that Kosuke and Kaho took her faulty bike. Horrified, he races after them, but fails to reach them before they reach the railroad. Due to the broken brakes, they are unable to stop, and are hurtled into the railroad. Time then freezes, and she discovers Chiaki nearby. Chikai confesses that he is from the future and traveled to see a painting restored by Kazuko. He explains to Makoto that he only stopped time to explain his origins, and had used his last leap to save Kosuke and his girlfriend Kaho. Because of that, he explains, Chikai must disappear. True to his word, Chikai disappears when time resumes.

Makoto later discovers that he had inavertedly restored a leap to her when he saved Kosuke. She uses this to leap back to when she first received her powers. She reveals to him everything he told her, and promises to keep the painting safe. “As Chiaki leaves, he tells Makoto he will be waiting for her in the future to which Makoto responds that she will run towards him.”

This movie is a clear demonstration on how your actions always affect others, whether miniscule or grande. It also makes you think of what you would do, if you were able to “leap” though time. Some of her leaps were for selfish reasons, such as for the pudding, but we all make mistakes like that. The science fiction theme of it was a bonus, especially since it included time travel. I watched the subbed version, and the captions were grammatically correct. The voice acting was heartfelt, especially when Chiaki disappeared, or her friends were hit by the train. Sprinkled with humor, this movie is one that you definitely should watch, especially if a fan of anime.

On the chance that it contains intelligent life, NASA transmits a powerful signal from a communications array in Hawaii, which will be boosted by a satellite in orbit. getting her a chicken burrito; the result of which sees Alex break into a convenience store and be tasered by the police later. The woman is later revealed to be Samantha Shane, daughter of United States Pacific Fleet commanding officer Vice Admiral Shane, who in turn is the superior of Commander Stone Hopper, Alex's elder brother. Fed up and infuriated at Alex for lack of motivation and possibly ruining his own career, Stone forces him to join the United States Navy. Both ships are destroyed in the ensuing battle. Because the ship that crashed in Hong Kong was their communications ship, the aliens land soldiers on Oahu and take over the area around the array while using it to signal their home planet. Samantha and Mick narrowly avoid detection and run into a fleeing NASA scientist. Believing that a much larger invasion might be imminent, the scientist goes back to the array and get a radio, which Samantha uses to warn Alex. He had planned to destroy the array with his ship, but since John Paul Jones is destroyed, the survivors are forced to return to base and acquire the only available naval vessel, the battleship USS Missouri. Although a museum ship, Alex and his crew are able to reactivate Missouri with the aid of the retired old veterans preserving her. The battleship engages the alien ship and destroys its barrier, but end up with only one high-explosive shell left. Alex uses it to fire on the array, but before the defenseless Missouri can be attacked one more time by the now-decimated alien ship, fighters from the RIMPAC fleet (which scrambled to attack as soon as the barrier was gone) arrive and eliminate the alien ship, while the NASA array explodes, destroying all the aliens and their equipment. Back on shore, the naval personnel, along with Mick, are honored for their actions in defeating the alien invasion. After the ceremony, Alex finally asks Admiral Shane for his daughter's hand in marriage; the admiral initially refuses, then invites Alex to lunch (by recalling the chicken burrito incident) to discuss the matter. A post-credits scene set in rural Scotland shows three schoolchildren and a handyman breaking open a car-sized object that has apparently fallen from the sky. They suddenly run off in terror after seeing an alien hand reach out and grab the opening, hinting at a possible sequel.

Forbidden Planet; 1956; Starring: Walter Pidgeon, Anne Francis, and Leslie Nielsen.

Non-spoiler review: A sci-fi remake of the Shakespeare play, 'The Tempest,' this film has wonderful special effects, and gives a realistic view of future technology. If you look closely, you might notice scenes that later movies have robbed, or copied from this classic (including Lucas' Phantom Menace). It also features the first appearance of Robbie the Robot. Even though it stars Leslie Nielsen, don't expect a farcical storyline. Although there are several humorous moments, the movie keeps to a fairly serious storyline.

Oh its under action and adventure mix of scifi too :)

The Shawshank Redemption ( 1994 )

I saw the movie today and wondered what it was about. I read the short summary about how 2 males were spending time in prison and how they bonded over the years.

As soon as I started looking at the movie, it quickly took me to a place to how the main protagonist Andy Dufresne ( Tim Robbins ) was convicted of murdering his wife and spending life in prison, however following afterwards he meets another protagonist named Red ( Morgan Freeman ) who was convicted of a crime and also is spending life in prison. The story was very unique as it described a few inmates story to their reason in prison, some which were hard, and some which were common, ( Haha ) but the funny thing throughout the movie was that Red said that everybody is innocent here, and so Andy picked up that speech and made a joke about it towards Tommy in prison. Later in the movie we later found out that there was a truth about Andy's innocence and Andy wanted to get out and but the Warden didn't wanna let him out because he knew that Andy was valuable in prison. Later Andy broke out and made it free and left Warden quite a surprise and in the end Warden shot himself, knowing his time has come. Red now knew why he had that little hammer, he thought it would take 600 years digging through those walls but Andy made it in 20, crawling through the slimy pipes and later getting out as a free man. Later Red has gotten an approval of parole a finally got out after 40 years in prison, he went through the same phase as Brooks did, apartment, job and thinking, but Andy was the only one in his thought and later he went to where Andy told him to get a surprise, a meeting place and some cash to go, so he went and in the end, they met each other to the place they talked about.


Now I was touched and really felt emotional while watching this movie, how can a 1994 movie touch my inner soul, my very existence and gave me goosebumps and reminded me just how perfect freedom can be. It was really a type of prison film where it is a must watch, this movie stayed true to it's story and gave us that exact impact of inspiration and excitement and also emotions.

I definitely recommend everyone in Fakku to watch this movie and ignore all other things around them, because this movie is truly an inspiration to anyone watching this.

I give this movie a 10/10, no not even a ten, this is truly one of the greatest films I saw in my entire life up to this point.

people dont compliment each other or make excuses. calls like "I can't come to work today. No I'm not sick, I just dont want to" are held on a daily basis. And still, people are awfully tolerant about this.
Now Mark Bellison is someone Luck hasnt really favored. He is lousy at his job (screen writer for the 12th century)[Movies are just people being filemd while reading descriptions of historical events out loud], the date with his crush ended with "I like you but I'm totally out of your league" and he'll probably get fired soon.
When his landlord wants to collect the rent, wich Mark can't pay he gets the biggest Idea of his life- he lies.
and since noone knows the concept of "saying things that aren't that way" they believe him.
he uses his newfound power to help himself to money and fame as well as helping other people, such as his suicidal flatmate.

But everything goes out of control when he tells his dying mother what happens after you are gone.
A lie about a "man in the sky" and a "place with eternal happiness" we all know somehow

The movie itself is comedic in its first half but takes a sharp turn in the serious department during the Mothers death scene.
it also gets a bit clicheé in the home strech, but the brutal honesty of the persons (as well as the advertisments (Pepsi - when they dont have coke)) are really refreshing.
There are funny moments in the second half, but not as much as in the beginning.

Overall I'd give it an 8/10

Definitely Maybe
One of the few recent hollywood rom-coms i liked. The characters are fun and likable, and while the plot isn't filled with twists and turns the "How i met your Mother"-esque plot does add a nice guessing game aspect to it. So overall its not amazing but if you're looking for decent rom-com that won't make you gag this is a pretty good choice.

I'll add it right away. Keep up the good work!
