Movie Madness

For my recommendations i will try to focus on ones that should be widely available, since i don't know how many fakku members have netflix or something like that

Thriller
Eyes Wide Shut
My favorite Kubrick film. Manages to be ambiguous without getting frustrating, and Kubrick gets 2 great performances from Cruise and Kidman in this one. Has some great visuals that will leave there mark on you, even if you don't know what exactly they mean(i have my own interpretation, but its by no means fact). Also has the most artistically shot orgy scene i've seen.

Sci Fi
Attack the Block
Despite the presence of aliens in this, it is mostly a social commentary. At first the characters don’t come off likable, but as the movie goes on it becomes apparent this is due more to there environment than them being truly bad people. It also never hits you over the head with it, and instead uses a few lines of dialogue to get its message across. I also loved the music in this one, although if you’re not a fan of rap/hip-hop it might not be to your tastes.

Eyes wide shut have been on my "Watch-later" list for a long time.
One of the few Kubrick movies i have yet seen.

And it doesn't matter if it's on netflix or not (never used netflix).
I'm sure you can find a torrent somewhere.

Thriller
Lincoln lawyer
It manages to stay surprisingly intense throughout, and Matthew McConaughey manages to be the essence of cool while still nailing the more dramatic scenes. Definite recommendation from me

13 Assassins

Found it on netflix after watching IP Man (I will also formally suggest it in a second). It's samurai based, Japanese film (so you'll need to find appropriate subs).

Martial Arts based..again need to find appropriate subs...but I think it's one of the better martial arts films I have seen in a long time.

Anime
Sword of the Stranger
Drugs, Chinese, Japanese, Samurai, and monks...... quite enjoyable.

Have you watched it yet? It's one of the best vampire/swedish movie i have seen. Highly recommend it.

Superbad?
Just because a name like McLovin deserves to be on that list.

Anime
Summer Wars

This was a really enjoyable watch, I'd give it a 8.9/10.
It has comedy, action, drama and a lot of things.

The story surrounds the math wiz Kenji Koiso who gets hired for a job, he later finds out that the job isn't exactly what he was expecting. The same night he gets a mysterious message involving code with the subject "Solve Me", he solves it and sends it back and that's where it all begins.



Mystery
Sherlock Holmes 1 and 2

I found both the movies to be very enjoyable, I love them both. My rating would be 9.5/10 for both since I just love that kind of movie.
It has comedy, action, drama and all sort of events!

The followup between the first and the second is done pretty smooth if you ask me, not much new happens in the second that you didn't get to know in the first so it's all pretty obvious for you.

A reason to why I love these two: I love Robert Downey Jr.

In a future world devastated by disease, a convict is sent back in time to gather information about the man-made virus that wiped out most of the human population on the planet.
Reason why it's worth watching: Just watch it.

Memento
A man, suffering from short-term memory loss, uses notes and tattoos to hunt for the man he thinks killed his wife.
Reason why it's worth watching: It's interesting to see how they develop the story, you'll see what i mean when you watch it.

Fight Club
An insomniac office worker and a devil-may-care soap maker form an underground fight club that transforms into a violent revolution.
Reason why it's worth watching: Sometimes you take things for granted.

Or The Sixth Sense?
A boy who communicates with spirits that don't know they're dead seeks the help of a disheartened child psychologist
Reason why it's worth watching: Becaue of this quote "I see dead people."


All 4 of these movies contains a paradox ending.

Nope. I might, I'll think about it.

Also, isn't The Sixth Sense a horror movie? Someone told me so, haha.
