my life in japan...

haha,been a while now.
i've been busy with my college life in japan.
finally got some time off to kick back and...FAKKU!...

gambler's right,once a fakkuza will always be a fakkuza.

and so...i'd like to share my life these days...in japan,of course.
well,it's been some of the most hectic days in my life.
culture shock(s),madness,tiredness,stress,frustation,happiness,enjoyment,curiosity,house chores...

phew.

maybe to start it off,well,i landed in narita about a few days ago,went straight to ueda-shi,nagano-ken,the place where my language college is located.i'm supposed to deepen my japanese there for about 6 months.

and so,i settled in a student dorm,a really wrecked one(well,it's free,so...)my room is just 3x2 meters,and i gotta share it with my roomate,a korean bishonen called Park.he's older than me,26,a very nice guy(he lent me his PC,his bicycle,his shirts,whatever,oh,and he share a lot of cigs to me),albeit dry sometimes,and one of the tidiest guy around.he keeps the room clean,even if i didn't help him.

thet aside,the dorm is...well...nasty?
i mean...20 guys...and...only 2 showers and 2 toilets?
bejesus.

lining up just to poop and shower?unheard of,at least for me.
and although most of them is nice,there are some chinese assholes(no offense to all chinese out there).they stole many things from just about anybody else in the dorm,but the person-in-charge found out,and they got kicked out.and now,peace time.

and about classes and part-time jobs...ah...just thinking about it makes me feel tired...maybe later if i got in the mood for that.

and no photos today,i haven't even got any time to play with my beloved SLR.

You've obviously been living a very sheltered and well-off life if you find even that disgusting, and have had no dorm experience whatsoever. In my college we have the exact same situation as you do and I was not in the least bothered by it (though I have had some sports camp experience). Some of the larger colleges are even worse, and let's not even talk about certain colleges in certain countries. *cough cough*

So if I understand you correctly, you're having your tertiary education in Japan, or are you just there to learn the language?

mmm,not exactly sheltered but yeah,i admit i grew up in a wealthy family.

and i WILL be having my tertiary education in Japan,but because japanese language is used in most of the colleges in Japan(and because i am kanji-illiterate),i gotta learn it for a while,about 6 months-1 year.

well,the thing is,my room is the tidiest room here,thx mostly to my tidy room-mate.

and no,nobody offers me pot,but there's a lot of girls who offer me their "service"

going home from a late hours shift at a 24-hour convenience store where i worked part time in.

oh yeah,now that we talk about part-time,i'll continue.
so,part time jobs in japan is...hmmm,great?
well,i can cover most of my daily food expenses just by working for an hour a day.(as my school fees and dorm fees is payed by my scholarship program)

but i'm currently working for 4 hours a day for the sake of this weekend's onsen trip.

oh,and btw,they pay generally 1000 yen(approx. 10$)/hour,at the start.it gets up gradually.late shifts pays 30% more.

there are many kinds of part-time.bento-maker,dishwasher,host,street-cleaner,fish cleaner,paper-boy,love hotel keeper(it pays incredibly high,from what my senpai sez)

and it's a really good experience for me.it helps me learning proper japanese and the people.

mmm,i gotta say that your room is pretty normal for a japanese
student dorm's standard.

you should be grateful that you don't even pay for it.

Your dorm looks pretty good from what I can see. I don't know why you say it's 'nasty.' I share an ap with a roommate that's a bit bigger but I remember my sis had to share a dorm with 2 other girls in a room about that size maybe a few inches bigger and she was paying like $400 a month. Trust me you don't have it bad.

Make sure to use a condom :D and don't let those pervs rub against you in the bus xD. If you see a Nissan Silvia of any kind make sure to take a picture of it and post it plz :D or a Nissan GT-R... yeah I love cars and japs make some of the best cars! Anyway good luck!

and statues at the entrance are clothed in something pink, heh.

it's red,actually.due to the bright sunshine and the white balance setting i used,it looks like it's pink.

and about the sandals,i dunno.but it's tied to a temple gate,not fence.maybe i'll research about it later.
