okay,i'm pretty sure that there's no phrase called jingjyo in japanese.not that i'm really sure of it,btw.

what's the meaning of it?

and about landscape and scenery pics,maybe the next long holiday i'll go out of the city and go to the countryside to get some.

@tsujoi: About the sandals hung on the gate like that. I don't really think there is any real reason for it other than as a tourist attraction since they used it kind of like a shoe rack.

no...it's the pilgrims' sandals...so it should have a connection with pilgrimages...as a memento of the pilgrimages in the past?

it's jinja,dude.

dera = buddhist temple

jinja = shinto shrine

Some landscape and rural would be awesome, mnx. For modern and cities, anyone can look it up on the net for pictures of Tokyo prefecture. Japanese scenery is somethinbg that I totally missed during my 5-day stay with my relatives in Japan. After all, they all lived in Tokyo.

Is it me, or do Japanese graves put other grave designs to shame? Everytime I look at Japanese grave sites, I always think, "Wow, that looks spiffy."

will be done,although i can't promise you when.i gotta go a little bit out of the city,and i'm limited by time,so...

anyways,yeah,japanese graves are really cool,especially when it's nearing the time of obon festival,when those graves are decorated with flowers and stuffs.

Anything traditional would be nice since modern is pretty much the same anywhere. Also, landscape would be nice to since they have different flora culture. :D

I'd also like some photos of the local architecture if possible, i.e. houses, apartments, schools, office buildings, parks, etc. Let's us see how different and efficient the Japanese are in living, plus allowing a taste of normal life.
