Time for the next set of update.

It's spring. In full force. Complete with monstrous sakura massacre. Some of the reasons why i went MIA.

Behold!

All those pics was taken back in April, my spring vacation. I went with 2 of my best pals from college, Min Ji and Michael, meeting a German couple in a yakitori-joint mid-trip, and we ended up going together. Saves me some lodging money(Hotels counts per head here, but more head in a room = cheaper). It was a blast. Granted, we are all on a tight budget, so we tried to squeeze as much destinations as we can in 2 days in Kyoto and Nagoya. Being, uh, the most experienced traveler(and one with best command of spoken Japanese), i ended up being some kind of tour leader X_X. It went smoothly though, and we all get to see a lot in 2 days. We parted ways after that, us to Nara, them going back home.

Banged-up and a warfield-veteran(including a drop here and wet from choc milk there), my SLR keeps getting trouble mid-trip although i can still use it in Kyoto, but it finally gave up just before we're heading to Nara. T_T Costs me fortune to get it repaired and working. I need a new SLR X_X

Yepz, that's it for this time. I still have a lot of pics actually, but it's in my pocket camera, not in my SLR. Pics of Osaka, Nara and some other random destinations. I'll upload it but it takes a lot of time because it's darned Sony pocket camera(with memory stick which is slow as hell).

Glad to see some actual people in some of the pics.

When I : Graduated (Not Yet), Lives in a place big enough for us two (Still Renting a 1DK room which is too small), Have a nice, permanent job (I'm still part-timing here and there), and She manages to get a Japanese working visa (Hard to get but still trying hard)

So yeah, we're not ready yet.

I enjoyed looking at your new update. The castle in Nagoya was awe aspiring. I want to walk under the hall of heavenly gates someday, also never stop trying new stuff （ ï¼¾ω＾）. The picture where you tried experimenting with different angles was interesting and I see that you captured it in a good lighting d(^^c). The sakura trees are gorgeous, I've only see sakura trees at Washington D.C. but to be in a forest of Sakura must be a out of this world experience.

@mnx: dude, man, it's been a while. I love your photos, makes me wanna live in Japan all that more because I love everything there is about Japanese culture. (except for the part of xenophobia and banning of eroge.) I totally envy you, did I ever tell you that?

Japan is known for is beautiful nature scenes, traditions, and the coexistence of perfection and harmony... your photos really capture that aspect, so a +rep is at hand. Keep these photos coming, and good to know that you're still alive and kicking.

seeing those pics make me wants to start my studies in japan faster.... (please come faster, mr september)

I'll be honest with you;studying here will get a little boring after a while if you don't explore a bit. And to explore you need LOTS of money. To earn money you either need to be rich or you work part-time. But part-time works is hard to come by these days, especially to foreigners amidst economic crisis like this.....

Yeah, being poor in Japan is NOT fun. Trust me.

BTW, do ask me about travel destinations in Japan. As an avid traveler i love to help another travaler 8D.


This is Japan dude, what do you expect? Hell, i won't be surprised if the couple wears SOS-DAN cosplay at their wedding ceremony.

mnx, your pics just made me fall in love with Japan even more so. If I ever come there during your stay, let us become friends and tour me around.

Also, maybe you have not noticed. But the way you have taken most of your pics is already artistic (the swirls were good too though). You, my friend, have captured fragments of the beauty of Japan in little photos.
