The new FAKKU!

The reason why I say Fakku is beyond repair is because not everyone want the same thing (to make this into a better place). Especially the new wave of users coming in, learning from the trolls/stupid /b/ people who make up a big chunk of our userbase.

I have to disagree. I really have not met any members who do not want this. The ones who do are a bit split apart. Those are the people who need to come together.

I seriously wish what you say is true. I really do.

P.S. I'm not here to start a debate of any sort. For those of you who have known me for some time now know my attitude towards this kind of stuff. For those of you who don't know, I always read all the threads, and I never leave a comment. I've already broken that habit for this thread. Even I don't know why.

It's that "uphill both ways" experience. We got more users, making things difficult to moderate, but tougher rules drive dumbshits away.

It's things like that we don't need. Nothing against g-money (Just pointing out a very recent example) but he should have talked for awhile be it good or bad. Eventually the common ground will be found. Few members from CR did this with skype awhile ago but stayed for a decent amount of time. It was a pretty fun to be honest. Would like them back.

@Sindalf: When I go onto IRC, it's usually because I'm looking for a specific person to talk to, which I noted he wasn't there. If you want me in IRC, I'll be there.

At least he still comes on. I haven't been on IRC in ages.

Unfortunately, this is the internet. At its core, Fakku is still a website that distributes porn, or in our case hentai, to the general public. Now that the site is well known, it receives the good and bad side of the internet. We may have members who post relevant arguments and doujins/videos for us to use or we may have members joining us who have barely any shred of intelligence. Sites usually start out with a fanbase that want to help the community. Once this community is built, the internet takes its toll and rapes the shit out of it.

This is the internet, deal with it.

This is exactly what I think. Such a sad truth, but you pretty much nailed it with that statement. This is also why, again, I think this place is not repairable.

And you forgot to mention that most of the users coming in are only bringing with them the bad side of the Internet.

I'm just saying we need to at least be able to talk to each other without getting at each other throats. As irc is the only place that is currently open its a good place to start imo. Since we can talk on a more indepth basis. I have seen this work with other forum members. There is alot that people will talk about on irc or other chat areas that wont happen on the forums. Mostly we need some where atleast as a start where we can get a better indepth look at our broader ideas. Few members I respect more because they went on skype and the above was accomplished. Taking note those people rarely ever hang out together if ever.



I can't remember the date all too well, but I do remember there were one or two members who did not want to have any part in it. (I can not remember if you were one of them but I remember the other. Names wont be given out for obvious drama reasons)

Sorry to say that but it's that kind of attitude that wont change anything. If we think there is no hope there is no hope. We need to at least try. There is more to a persons response than meets the eye and this helped uncover this. To me everyone is at fault but no one is to blame.

Personally, I doubt that they will but I don't think that they are the ones killing the forums. Rather, they are the ones keeping the forums alive with a dose of humour instead of stupidity; though those two things go together hand in hand. The ones who need to change for the better are those users who post before thinking. Stupid topics, more anger, more trolling, and even more anger.

People need to accept the fact that there are people who are just that stupid. Also, they need to let go and just enjoy the ride that the trolls will give us. Don't be so serious. Maybe start up an argument with the trolls as they seem to be quite intelligent in comparison to many other members. At least it'll bring activity back onto the forums.

@Shiori: what other forums? I haven't seen much activity in any other part of FAKKU! except Random and IB. I don't believe that all trolling should be put the boot on, but again, not all trolling should be accepted either as appropriate.

Rest of the forums are pretty much nonexistent because you need to be talking about specified topics. Alot of those are talked about in other places or just does not interest the user. Pure discussion seems to be more of the forum bases interest.

I'll just throw in my little bit.
First off, this is the internet. Any ill will I have toward any person on this forum does not apply to real life. I enjoy having my type of fun, ultimately it does not hurt anybody and probably never will. I don't feel I'm making this forum any worse because mixed in with some of my less intelligent posts are well thought out ones. I've also made a few threads that have thrived in a positive manner.

I think that this applies to many of the people that some view as the problem, certainly not all, but many. It is not my place to tell any of you what to do but I believe everything would be easier if we all just chilled out, agree to disagree, be mature about it and take jokes as what they are.

The forum will never be perfect, people will always come and go. I enjoy it for what it is. I hope you all can as well.

I'm just thinking that any kind of spark to catalyst is welcome. It may pry lurking members out and they could have interests in the other sections of the forums. At the moment, Fakku! is presenting itself as a bunch of hard-asses or incoherent buffoons. If anyone unclenched their rear ends and just enjoys what Fakku! has to offer, they may see that the forums are a fun place to be. There is activity in other parts of Fakku! but not enough. I know that there are many lurkers on the forums and seeing an interesting title of a troll may bring them into random or IB where they will get out of that closet.

Just enjoy the ride. It's more fun that way. More anger creates even more and sets a negative tone. Maybe having positive thoughts could change ones outlook on an entire situation.

Actually I wonder what is the real problem with this so called 'new Fakku'? The ones that I can think of are trolls, neg repping for no good reason and newbies feeling unwelcomed which I think is pretty normal. If you ask me I have seen something much worse than this issue of silly neg repping even before. The moment the system is implemented you just the chances of people using it for silly or idiotic purposes is already there. If you're unhappy with being neg repped just pm to one of your friend to rep you back. Pretty simple solution if you ask me.

Its just people thinking about it too much and makes such a big deal out of it. There are still good elders around here its just people don't notice them as much as the well known ones. Also try going around the other section instead just hanging around the IB and Random section if you can't stand the drama. Always makes me wonder why people must go through the pain if they can't handle it...

The one that is missing from the old Fakku is the closeness of the members. I could remember most of the active members though I never talked to them much.

However I do agree with G-money on troll issues.
