The new FAKKU!

I second this motion.

The only way for us to get rep back is to grow up. Rep's like a toy, and we can't share it nicely so daddy (Jacob) took it away from us to punish us.

A substitution for rep is possible (a thank you system) for thanking users for their posts.

That of course is up to Jacob, though, as for the new Fakku, I wasn't really here for the old Fakku, I can't say it from experience. However I've looked at the stats, and it has grown far larger, that's a good thing. Maybe the quality of posts isn't as high? I happen to have enjoyed some recent posts in a few forums though, so I don't know about that either.

Maybe it's that users have left? Sure some cool people have left, but new people have come who can be just as cool if you give them a chance, and get to know them.

@Tsurayu: No, I'm stating a fact that people take rep as a sign of their e-penis. It's precisely people can see their rep go up or down that causes the massive amounts of drama at FAKKU!. I don't see that as being sarcastic or dumb at all.

You can tell the size of someone's e-penis by how they talk.

I always looked at the rep system like an achievement/trophy system (whatever your flavor of gaming is) It's not something I consulted as a measure of how good of a fakku member someone is, but rather a way to heighten the experience of posting. That being said I think forum trophies might be an excellent idea although I have no idea how they would be implemented.
