And I'm kinda fine with this, I didn't really see the point of Reps. Im just kinda sad I can't see Klowns amazing number of reps lol.

@lemiel: thank you for appreciating and understanding my points. It will go a long way if people decided to sit down and think about what they're going to type rather than simply post something that's half-assed for lulz or just to attack someone back.



Even without rep, there's still drama, and way more than it's needed. And no, if this became a meme, FAKKU! would then have really fallen under.

@Teclo: it didn't used to be that way, and rep actually was a somewhat reasonable measure of a user's rep. It was worth saving... but from what I've seen, not anymore.

Gonna be reading the next few pages in a bit but if no one saw this I would recommend doing this since I've seen it done on another forum and so far no one can really abuse the system since the "rep" is publicly displayed and it tells you who de/repped who and there is a box in which you have to fill out explaining why you repped that person.

awwwww shit XD Jacob i didnt even remember we had reps :lol:, actually after i originally posted this i took a look at my post and saw that i had no rep and then i'm like we had rep? thats new to me :lol: but i wanna say keep them off for good or at least get a better thing for keeping track of reps or some shit like that ya know.

Ok since I dont have enought time to read the next 6pages from where i left off i might as well say shit and shit XD. I've been on two forums from at least a year after they opened(fakku being one of them) and always do i see a yr or two later down the road ppl around(most of the time younger, forum age of course) complaining about the newbs. Heck, when i became active on one forum the "older" members hated me even though i was actually the older one but it was because of the way i posted, and even on a forum i decided to become active in a few months after i joined they hated me too. But i learned that ppl hate the way i typed because i type as if i was txting you on my mobile.

I dont see too much of a problem with ppl typing shorthand i mean fuck just fucking copy and paste what they say into google and you'll get shit. Of course seeing threads like this kinda makes me lol a bit because my theory is regardless of how much change we get and how awesome the old days were, its not gonna be easy to meet in the middle for everyone.

I've seen these forums grow but i actually barely read the forums when i first joined since i lurked a lot(speaking of which what are you ppl wearing today :lol:). Of course when jacob announced that the forums were gonna change i saw that change but barely remember what the old forums looked like but since its so many months down the road i gotta say certain things that were god actually came out of that change and hoepfully the team makes a wise decision again to make another good one when the time comes. Heck next thing i know when users start posting up in the 5k range theyll be a new title called Fakku Jazz or something :lol:

As for the community, since i started posting actively almost every day now i actually havent encountered shit from anyone and tbh because of that i still see these forums as an awesome community cause those other two forums i got ppl hating me until they got to know me but fakku right away no one really cared and i fucking love that. Heck even surprisingly on psn they few fakkuers i got on there are cool ppl too and I hope i dont forget who they are down the road and accidentally delete them.

And one more thing, I must be really blind(lol im actually heading there) but im not seeing these trolls. I've been hearing ppl talk about them but never see them nor the flaming that supposedly takes place for them. So I ask you, is it really a wise idea to acknowledge known trollers vs those that like to have fun with this being the nets and all? (:lol: felt like adding more still but kinda more in the mood to fap to this thread and shit :lol:)

True. Now no reason to be an ass just to get -rep or suck up just to get +rep. Now we will be our true selves.

As much as I'm going to potentially regret this later, I agree. No one has to worry about how someone is going to react with their little rep for the day. You can say whatever you want, without restriction now.

And this is also exactly why I think the only cause of drama is the -rep, and +rep is still a good idea. People don't like to be hated and the -reps can show it to them. So kick -reps outta the window and I think we're ready to go.

Well, more like people are going to find something new to make a drama about...

I have to say, the +rep no -rep idea is still a valid one... I remember my first rep; it was for a joke I made that York found funny. I felt like posting even more and that this community would come to accept and all my flaws. It was probably one of my most cherished moments here. I think everyone has a similar first rep story which is why I believe it would still be acceptable to have +reps. It reinvigorates your purpose on these forums; to make people smile. As carebear as I sound right now; I honestly believe what I'm saying... I think I lost sight of my purpose at one point and got too focused on my own amusement or being right all the time. That competitiveness is still in me, I can't go back to flowers and puppy dogs waar, but I think my recent behavior can show that it is possible to be who I am without shoving my dick down everyone's throat(good analogy right?)

Wow I just noticed the rep is gone. And i look at this forums daily -.-

If we have just plus rep it will be just as abused as the other system; friends and groups will be constantly +reppin eachother, because now they won't have to bother -repping their enemy of the week.

I was reading a klown's post and i realized that a huge number was missing somewhere then behold and lo foudn this thread XD

I do enjoy the fact that people are more free to speak their minds, but with this freedom, I have a slight inclination that people are going to abuse it just like they did with the reputation system. Posts will become more and more random, and less content will be uploaded. I know a good many people used the reputation system to say thanks to those who contributed, and it felt good to know that people enjoyed what you were posting.

So...I still want it back. I could do without the - rep, though. I don't think that the + rep had anything to do with all of the drama.

I actually never saw the point of the reputation system whatsoever, to me it was the same as when a kid getting a sticker for a good job in primary school. The only functionality I've ever thought of toit was that it's more kind to the eye to +rep for a good post than feeling the thread with "cool post dude" spam posts, yet it pretty much didn't stop this from happening. I can see why some people is angry as they saw it like "wow dude I got +rep that means I'm awesome" or "my life sucks I got -rep", I actually disliked the drama that followed a -rep too; back to topic; when you get something you like taken away, you fukken wanna go berserk and kill someone, but by now, I'm pretty sure everyone already got used to not having the rep system.
