I forgot to add in, I have a great deal of ill will toward Sindalf considering he's an Aion traitor. A beatdown in the alleyways of Baltimore awaits you my friend.

People take their rep to heart and want to carve themselves into the niche that is random and IB. They don't want to take part in the "boring" sections and their rep is usually given to them by a friend to begin with.

Seriously, the answer to this whole new Fakku! problem is to shut the fuck up and enjoy. Avoid the stuff that creates drama and makes you rage. Newbs don't have to be welcomed, they can post when they want and create a name for themselves. Trolls don't have to be fed and rep should be earned and not squandered.

Sorry edible but I feel that you might have missed something there. First and foremost your positive threads are not solutions to your misconducts. Your mistakes are an entire different matter from your accomplishments. Whatever you did back then was forgiven because of time and apology not because you posted positive threads after. I commend you for changing but I still hope you'll continue posting wisely.

Second, your view of the internet is idealistic but not realistic. Believe it or not many people take it seriously, and to some even over the top. Many will say "This is just the internet" and ridicule those who cling to the net but they will never understand the reality for these interwebs people. However these people are still users and a part of our community so we should make this place better for them also not just for us.

Third, I agree that chaos would not ensue if everyone just chilled out. However it's also wrong to turn a blind eye to foolishness some people make. Can everybody just chill out while they get lost inside the forums because of thread spams? And then they start to lag because of the traffic those spams make? Can everybody just chill out when they get called an idiot? The internet is a global village filled with different cultures that cannot completely accept other people's actions.

Fourth, I completely agree that you should enjoy the forums for what it is. However that right does not only apply to you but to all the other users. If that is true then people must be careful of their actions which might prevent other people from enjoying the forums. For example: If a user gets ridiculed for making a mistake in a post does he enjoy it? Of course not, therefore those users who ridiculed him completely violated his right to enjoy the forums at that moment.

In conclusion instead of just leisurely posting in the forums it is my opinion that everyone should think twice before they post. Because not all people can just "chill out" therefore would you ignore that fact? When you know some people will flame about something you're about to do will you continue it just for the fun of it while knowing that the forums will be troubled by chaos later? I seriously believe that users must think first if the post that they will make will benefit the forum.

If people thought before they posted, the chill people would not have retaliated telling them to chill. It's a cycle. If people would cool off and enjoy, this would all be okay and if people thought before they posted then good things would happen. However, since there is such a diversity of cultures, thinking before doing is just a dream. Instead, telling people to calm down is the only course of action that would actually be productive. This is just how the internet is. Once the site gets big, people flock in. Whether they are intelligent people or not is up to luck.

It's late, I'm tired, I'll make this brief. On the matter of my past mistakes (that one in particular) I completely admit that I fucked up big time. I'm still sorry for that and it is something I've learned from.
As far as thinking twice, I might if I see it causing some serious harm or completely destroying a thread. Otherwise no; part of living in the real world is dealing with the fact that you can't expect people to change just for you.
Lastly, I am not saying my better posts negate the "misconduct". I'm saying that I post a fair mix. As a forum user I do not spew only trash.

And when they failed in random and IB is the time they raged hard. Too bad for the other section since most of the users are stuck in the random and IB while they could bring life to the other sections. You'll be surprised the 'specialists' you can find in each of the section.

While I agree that in a diverse forum it's impossible not to offend anybody. But would you not at the very least try to prevent that from happening? If you know what you're about to do will offend a person will you still continue it?

Of course, it's different if you had no idea that what you're doing is offensive. If you had no ill will in your posts and you are sure with all conviction that your post was for the benefit of the forum and yet it accidentally trampled on the beliefs of other cultures then it was a mere unfortunate misunderstanding. THUS it's the time to tell people to calm down.



True, it's wrong to try to satisfy everyone. But remember it's the little details that matter the most. What you think might be too small to destroy a thread can actually be magnified by other users. Be careful with that.

I don't know, it's late and I doubt that any of this bickering will make a difference. The only people I see posting in this thread are frequenters of the site who do not fall prey to the traps set in IB and Random. This thread itself is in Random.

I don't think this is bickering. We're remaining pretty civil in my opinion. What do you mean by traps though? Like people baiting others into making a huge argument?

I gained a lot of posts simply by posting in the sections that hold my interests, which is a lot. It's just that they've lost their steam somewhat and all the action takes place in Random or IB, which is sad but true.

We do need to calm down. (Hell, I need to calm down.) And we need a large dosage of common sense that I see we'll never get.

Seeing he used the names of the factions IB and Random he probably meant getting stuck in random babbling without trying to participate in Serious Discussion or other forum places.

He did not mean what you said nor baiting other people to unconsciously attack or ridicule another.

Yes, my Account may be "new", but i have lurked around Fakku for two years.I have had the chance to see it grow, and have had the chance to read many of the Threads before they where Deleted or forgotten about.

Personally the only change i have See with Fakku are:
-more rules(which i don't find to be that bad, with more users there needs to be more rules).
-More Trolls(the fad of annoying people for a reaction seems to be catching on).
-more users(the site is becoming more popular and there seems to bee a lot of accounts that are created the end up never being used past "2" post, than there offline forever...)
-Lots of Original users leaving(some do it for personal reasons, some because they don't want to deal with the "change" of the site.)
-NegReping(New users thinking its funny, or people holding grudges over long forgotten thread arguments)

Manners on the site has dropped over time, "maybe it could be due to more Preteens/Teens finding the site now and using it as there personal playground." Like many of you have said, This site has grown more popular, and for any teen looking for a Quick way to score free Internet porn, this site would be the key...sad but true!

Overall i try not to deal with the nonsense, i know who and who not to associate with on Fakku. As time goes on Fakku will change, once again its sad but true. Fakku is a free site, so people will come. I think the best way to handle it is just not to feed into the nonsense!

For the Fakku members who have Done there best to remain understanding, and overall nice people on the site i would like to thank you. You guys/gals have done your best to make this site an overall nice experience for me and others, so thanks! I hope that more members will learn from your Guidance!

Complaining about the past has no merit. Instead of thinking about how much better Fakku was in the past, it is a lot more constructive to change the way it is in the present. Granted there isn't much you can do about how the reputation system is used by members, but pretty much every other point that's been made the past few months can be changed. Don't like how much spam there is, then post some good topics in Random and SD.

I guess it's because I've only been here a few months, but I don't mind Fakku the way it is. In case you haven't noticed, it is like this everywhere on the net, and in most places it is significantly worse. I've been to A LOT of forums over the past seven years, and I've never felt as content to be somewhere as I do here on Fakku.

Hell, I've had my issues too here on Fakku with being called a spammer, but you know what? I've been through a lot worse. Most of the people that called me a spammer, and the people that I called Elitists back, are seeing each other eye-to-eye now so it's all good.

The majority of this community are some of the greatest people I've met on the net, and I'm not just saying that.

Better before, I don't know, maybe it was. I like to think Fakku is still pretty good now.

true Fakku is not as it use to be, but it sure is a hell of a lot better than a lot of other sites on the web. Sure people may fight on this site, but majority seems to forgive and forget on this site as well, and thats something that a lot of other sites don't have! This site seems more like a Family than just a Dirty site to please yourself like other sites!

To be honest i feel really open and welcomed on this site. On other sites i have been on i always felt like the guy who left the post after mine wanted to rape me...just dirty people!

All we need is an unbiased moderator/admin to intervene and review the situation. Hopefully a conclusion will be made, but unless an admin or mod doesnt come in and deal with anything, this is just a little dispute amongst us users.

You're absolutely correct, and that's why you don't see a lot of us "oldfags" leaving.

However, Fakku is still by far worse than what it was a year ago. I was really pleased at how nice the environment was back then. There is simply no comparison. If only you were there back then. Otherwise, there's no way you can understand.

It is as Shiori said - back then, there were the dedicated ones. The ones who really wanted to see this site do well. It was a preserved place, safe from the wickedness of the Internet. Now as we have gained popularity, new, uneducated users from the wild are flooding in and contaminating this place with Internet culture. I'm not saying all the new users are bad, but they are the source of the problem, without doubt. It can't be helped.

I have a feeling I just insulted a lot of you guys, so bring out the -Rep. Although I just wanted to add one thing. I've only been -Repped once, and that was a few weeks ago when I complimented one of Hermit's uploads. This again proves my point. I don't care anymore. This place is beyond repairs so bring it.

Fakku isn't that fun place I've joined about a year ago... quality of the threads created has considerably decreased, not to mention those flame wars that sometimes occur. Not that I really care, but the community has been changing and it's not for the better.
It's quite understandable that old users leave the place since everyone's getting older and changing their priorities, but the community getting "worse" surely helps them with their decision to leave. It could be also caused by the age gap slowly growing between newbies and older users (be hones, so you find funny the same things you did when you were 2,3,5 yrs younger? I guess not.).
This is just another pointless post lowering quality of the forums but w/e, I've always been like this.
