My complete collection thread just got reported.....this is so fucking annoying......and I can´t even do anything against it.....

Yeah we seriously need to do something about the upload-section, as long as it stays wide open the reporters are having a field day.

My latest upload was up like 2 hours before some of the links went down, that's not acceptable.

well what can be done besides NOTHING the links are easy to report at megaupload/rotic.

I am really losing the passion to provide DLs.....torrents never get reported and live like 100 years or so....so i guess I will start providing torrents....which is much actually not really uploading anymore....

Only think that could be done is that you upload stuff and only provide DLs up on request, this way you coul track people who downloaded it

just a special fakku area .....hm this might be good....so you will need a password to enter this section......and you only get the password under special conditions by some of the admins......

This was already attempted, when a post count of at least thirty was required to access the User Uploads section. I don't think it lasted even twenty-four hours. The entire forums section was shut down so the spam could be dealt with.

it´s not actually like you need xx post to enter, it´s more like being supportive and active around fakku so you can enter a special section using a password which you will only get from the admin or something like that.

only thing that could happen is that people who can´t enter this section start to bitch around and spamposting on fakku.

they way how the upload section is arranged right now is to dangerous, so I will not upload anymore hentai vids....I will only provide the torrents...

That would still cause major problems. A million threads would be started, asking "Why can't we get to the User Uploads?" Also, how exactly would one proof him/herself qualified to get to the User Uploads? Be active? But what does that mean?

I know it sucks, and I wish something could be done, but it seems like there is little anyone can do. Unless someone wants to spend some money and get their own server, so they're not using Megarotic or Rapidshare.

I guess we should just come up with some conditions like
150+ post
AND
10+ rep
AND
20 topics created
AND
Avatar
AND
a working Sig
AND

If we did that, we'd get a ton of spam, just like last time. Actually, we'd probably get a lot more spam, since the first time, the post count minimum was thirty posts. If we increased the amount to 150 posts, the forums would probably be shut down for a week, if not more.

I think required rep is the solution. You can't spam to get rep.

Well whatever method we end up with we need to get it up and running before everything is gone.
If you ask me we only seem to have some single reporter running around and reporting shit at random, since the upload-section would've been long fuckin gone if a bunch of 'em had found it.

Since Jacob & company knows about this issue i assume they're working on something.

I realized that the reporters did this for fun.
My almost 3 months old links of "ef the first tale" that I've never posted and stayed in my inbox (asked my friend who got premium to upload it for me), was instantly reported after a week and the funny thing is only the last parts were reported. Found this weirdness in other threads. They only report the last parts to annoy people who downloads from the top.


The best method to prevent this: Only people with at least 5 reputation point may enter.

Nobody can spam for rep points, and the admins can ban people if they're cheating with making multiple accounts.

Edit: Okay, while this does protect the link from being exposed in the URL bar, both Rapidshare and Megaupload tell you the link on the download page. -_-

So, provided the fucker isn't smart enough, it should pose no real problem.

That would work, since the trails would then lead right back to the reporter.

The problem is that then you'd have a horde of pissed-off people who want to download stuff. -_-

If I want to say this harshly, "It's better than a pissed-off uploader.", since he won't upload more because it's going to be a waste of his time.

There are a lot of people with at least five rep. If users had to have at least five rep to enter the section, the field of possible reporters would still be very large.

Also, there's the chance the links are being reported by people who aren't members of Fakku. It's not hard for a person to see an upload here and paste it on another site, and then someone else could report the links.
