It seems they're only after the hentai ones.

My ChaoS;HEAd links went down though, and that's non-hentai.

Has anyone uploaded something with a different filename? I just re-upped Wife with Wife, but I put each episode in a winrar archive and called it "stuff 1" and "stuff 2." Only if you saw the link on Fakku, or were told so, would you know that it was the hentai series Wife with Wife.

I'm wondering if this will keep stuff from being deleted. After all, the people in charge of Megarotic won't know what it is unless they download it themselves. I don't have much hope, but I figured it was worth a shot.

I think they don't have any knowledge of what they're reporting, and started reporting some of the on top page thread. I even don't know that Chaos;Head was 15+.

and look one game that I upload (won't say the name for safety measures) hasn't been reported since it's now on the page between 10 - 20.

same here we are the ones that utilize their bandwidth to capacity.

so I think the rep think is the best way, you know I was a little pissed when SOME of my links were reported but now ALL got reported.
That´s why I think 10+ rep is a better way.

But even this could fail if there are at least 2 reporterfaggot repping each other up. So I guess the number should be high enough 1 rep = 1 days

So I don´t guess a linkfaggot would stay at least 10 or 15 days to report stuff.

Since I get my stuff through torrents, and the only section I actively download from is the Manga & Doujins section, I gotta say this fuckin dumb. It begs the question of "Why the fuck are you doing this?" And I'm looking at Eranox's rather harsh list of requirements... *counts* and I'm 5 topics short. *goes off hurriedly to create 5 more topics*

But on a serious note, it's like what others said; raising the requirements doesn't work unless implemented from the very beginning.

Though I still can't imagine why people would go around reporting links... damn losers don't have a life, especially when they're getting this stuff for free. How much you wanna bet that they leech, then report the links?

It's an unwritten rule? I've never heard of it, and I don't think it counts as common sense. If a regular person sees a link for something on a site, and another site he's on wants the stuff, of course he's going to link it.

Also, there are search tools that let people find links posted on websites without even going to the site. There's one I use often, Megadownload.net, that gives me all sorts of things from all across the internet. It's possible that links on Fakku could be found (and reported) using such a tool. But it is far more likely that it's a user on Fakku reporting the links, I'd say.

Anyways, I have the perfect solution to this problem. If an uploader wants only people with at least ten rep to be able to download his stuff, he can make a thread in the section saying what he has. He won't put download links in the thread; instead, he'll put, "PM me if you want the links and have at least ten rep." That way, the uploader himself controls it.

not a good idea in my opinion, lets face it even people with less than 15 reps would beg for links and spam your inbox.

also if you have a high amount of uploads like klown, you inbox will be overloaded with pms in no time.

e.g 20 hentai uploads and 10 people who want the links 10 pms should be the easiest case, but what if people ask for the links one by one.
so the worst case would be 200 pms.
even over a large period of time this is still hell lot of pms

and keep in mind that there can be more uploads and more people who ask for it, so the organisation work would take a lot of time.

That's the method im using (used) on other forums that had reporters lurking around, and sure it works (I said that no one with below 50+ posts could get the PM), but it's annoying as fuckin hell to PM people all the time, especially since i have alot of threads with games people want, so i gave that up pretty quick.

Well, it's better than having every thing you upload deleted within a day or not uploading anything at all.

I say this because I seriously doubt Jacob will ever create a requirement to enter the User Uploads section again.

and besides the first thing just got removed because it was 30 post barrier which can only be overcome by posting, so as result people just spammed like hell.

But this is a rep barrier and spamming won´t do anything to get rep.

People will still spam, trying to get rep. I imagine there would be a lot of threads consisting of nothing more than, "If you rep me, I'll rep you." That, and they would spam by making countless threads asking why they can't get into the User Uploads section anymore and bitching about not being able to get in there anymore.

From my point of view as an uploader it's too much trouble, im already downloading the games, checking out that they work/don't contain trojas/viruses and all that shit & uploading them (which takes time since i don't have a fast connection), i really can't be arsed with this PM'ing crap too.

Well im still hoping that the staff will think of something, since im not gonna post anymore if there's a bunch of reporters around and the upload-section is left wide open for them to take everything down.

Rep isn't the best way to do things either. As I mentioned before in a different thread, the rep system has many flaws and uploaders warp the system. On top of that, I respect certain users with less rep than others that have higher. As far as I can see, a disclaimer is the only thing that will work, though probably a futile effort.

A person can be active for months and make great posts and only have a few rep, because that's the way the cookie crumbles. Or, a person could be a member for a week and make small (but funny) posts and get a lot of rep, because, again, that's the way the cookie crumbles. The latter may get the rep point because the user who liked the small post had just gained his rep point for the day, and it was the first post he saw that he liked. Alas, this isn't a discussion about rep.

If doing the "PM me for a link" thing is too tough, I'm sorry, but I don't see what else can be done. The User Uploads section is important, but it's not the most important thing on Fakku, and I don't see why Jacob would create a restriction that would protect the User Uploads but hurt the rest of the forums.

I'll say it again, what is the point in having the upload-section open if all the links are dead?
Without our uploads that entire section is pretty much meaningless, so i don't see how it'll hurt the rest of the forum to have it protected in some way.
