inspired by the british poll. i decided to ask what do u "non-americans" think of us no aggresiveness intended. I was just thinking do u base us on the republican side of the country or what?

I'm not allowed to vote.......felon. Even if I was able to vote I probably wouldn't, I hate politics.

I just turned eighteen this year, so I'm kind of excited it's my first year voting [Woo! Voting when it doesn't really count ~ Yay!]. I'm going to register as an Independent Voter.

In regards to who I'll vote for, I honestly have no clue. I don't like any of them. I might just end up voting for a third party candidate.

Well I'm an American and I don't like too many of us. (Btw please don't vote for a third party, it's an age old trap that causes you to waste your vote as it's really not a political statement and hasn't been for a long ass time. Mostly the only people who vote for a third party are people who would vote for democrats (ok more like against republicans) and so voting third party or not voting at all is pretty much the equivalent to voting for republicans.)

again, it's not like your vote makes much of a difference anyway.

And I stated that I don't like any of the candidates. I wouldn't vote for Obama, most of the people voting for him, only do because of the whole 'change' deal. None of them really know any of his future plans. If I HAD to pick, I would pick McCain, but even then lots of his ideas I really don't agree with.

Until american's (I am one) stand up and get rid of the electoral college our vote don't mean dick. And I like McCain hes a cool guy, Obama has never impressed me (we voted him senator here in IL and first thing he did was start running for pres), but I don't believe either is what our country needs to fix itself (if it can be fixed). So I will probably write in my Mom for pres, because it makes that little of a difference.

To be honest I like most of you; the only thing that does tend to get to me is your total lack of foreign knowledge, I know more about America and other countries than most Americans know about their own country. Blame the education system i think but i believe you're taught to think that your country is the only one that matters. I could just be acting ignorant, not really sure.

Our own history and European history are the only things that are taught in our school, but even european history is a by choice thing, you could graduate without even knowing anything about other countries. The only real place to learn about other countries and cultures is in college or on the internets. It is pretty crazy though that just about every other country strives to learn about us and learn our language yet we don't try to learn theirs. We're just big fat lazy bastards, I smell our demise.

Our education system sucks. It for worse when the "No Child left behind" act was put into place. People couldn't meet the "standards" so they lowered them. Rather than fail the idiots and make them study they lowered the standards because it wasn't fair. Most people graduating out schools now are two IQ points above a retarded monkey. The only difference is that the graduates don't throw their shit.
