This is who I'm voting for. I don't care if its "throwing away" my vote. He's the only one who can truly get this country, maybe even the world, straightened out.

So in whatever country you are from no one complains, they all care about everything and they think their country is alright but not too great?

Well, you're not completely wrong. The public education system prety much sucks. We're not exactly taught that our's is the only country that matters, but it is implied. Personally, most things I know about other countries I had to learn on my own. I've always been the type to study subjects that interest me on my own. But you have to understand our public schools are desperately under funded, parents tend to be totally useless, and many incompetent teachers that fuck everything up. Don't get me wrong there's a lot of teachers out there who know what they're doing and do it well (my mom's one of them, she teaches art), but I've had many teachers that were totally incompetent. Parents tend to treat school as more or less daycare, all too often they don't help their children study, they expect teachers to teach them basic manners (imo the parent's job), and when the teacher makes any effort to discipine them, the parents press charges.

As for the votes: I don't have any favorite. Most likely due to the fact that I don't like US politics anyways, but that is a different matter (not saying our German ones are better,... but they are :P)

Now I haven't had to deal with too many US people in real life, but those I met were either nice and friendly or incredibly mentally challenged. I won't make a prejudice out of that. But those nice ones I met were friendly, had a proper attitude (i.e. not making a patriotism story out of every single topic we talked over and kept a leveled head) and had quite the good education.
The retards were annoying, dumb, had a larger mouth than a blue whale, but no brains behind it and were using their hormones instead of their brain in a pathetic attempt to make a good impression.

You just described the 85% of the US population scietifically proven to be feeble minded. Or as I refer to them as: Cannon Fodder.

Yet they don't believe in evolution when they are clear examples that it can take a step backwards. A vast majority of the citizens of this country are just plain dumb and make the rest of us look bad.

Good intentions but bad execution of those intentions covers a large portion of "America" as a whole.

You voted for him at the elections, it's your own fault :P Just like we Germans have to bear with Angela Merkel representing us. I really hope things are going to change here with the next elections, but I doubt anything serious is going to happen the way things look at the moment *sigh*.

I am really mad at our education system. and the celebration of mediocrity. (eg. everybody wins the "participation trophy" at little league")

Im not against foreigners, truly Im not. But when I go into a Fast food joint, or talk on tech-support, I want someone I can understand completely, implicitly, and succinctly.

Wow, I didn't know hating on your own country was such a trend. I mean sure our country has fucking problems but do you think America's the only country with problems? Have some fucking pride. And I'm not even full American...

And for those who think Americans think their country is the only one that matters. If you look at how much relief effort comes from our country vs. other countries, we outdo every country out there. There are many selfless people in this country than you think and more educated than you think. The fact that we have retard celebraties and leaders doesn't mean the people and country is retarded too, and we don't know about our own country? Look at your own and you will find dirt on your own country too. Every country has a closet full of skeletons. Just because America is the most looked at country by the media meaning more of the "bad things" are shown doesn't mean you have to hate on it or its people.

no offence dude, but it's those same "intelligent" Americans that watch and revere those celebrities, and it's the same "educated" Americans that vote for those politicians... I'm not bashing you or your country but you've done it to yourselves, the reason everyone thinks you have major social and economical problems is because you caused them. (not always by your actions but mostly)

I'm glad someone else mentioned this. I was getting a little upset reading all the replies about America. I was born and raised here and I won't say I'm the most patriotic person. I never said our pledge in the morning because I was too tired, and I don't own any flags or red white and blue shirts - I have a Canadian shirt though :lol:

You can't sum any country up as a whole. That's what you call a stereotype, but that's sorta what this thread was about, and I could have told you what everyone thinks of when they think of Americans. It's not pretty. There are plenty of people around me that make me wish I was anywhere but where I currently am, but I still enjoy where I live.
I work inside a wal-mart (not for walmart, but inside one) and let me tell you, if I got a nickel every time a stupid/rude/uneducated idiot came in I'd be making some big bucks.

But I'm sure that's where anyone lives. There's always a 'stupid majority.'
