Well, as pointed out there really is no sexual equality among the genders both physically and emotionally.
But it's what's being fought for by women's rights groups. You can't have equality without both ages having the same age of consent. That's all there is to it. If anything, teenage girls are more mature - on average - than teenage boys, so how is it teenage boys should be the ones AOC does not apply to? Ridiculous.

That is just political correctness they are fighting for. But the idea isn't that the age of consent should be set at different ages. Rather that the punishment for female on underage male teen sex should be treated more lightly than the reversal, namely because of the lack of health consequences that result from puberulent pregnancy.
Also, more mature in what way?

A ton of the damage caused by a relationship between an adult and a minor is emotional, and the potential is there for both male and female teens for that damage. Protect them all - ESPECIALLY from people we put in charge of taking care of them! - and leave it at that.

Its not pregnancy itself but rather the health effects it has on females younger than 15. You can't honestly deny that the situation is different for the reversal and more safe. As for emotional damage, that is far least likely to occur in males for obvious reasons. Also, what way are they more mature?

Yes, I got the health effects bit, but there are other conditions aside of those, as the emotional issues that do occur (even if young males don't say anything negative about it because it would make them less of a man). The fact these things can occur in both sexes mean they should be treated equally when defending them against relationships with those who should know better/wait a few years until their hormones are done playing havoc with their emotions.

I forgot to ask, what kind of emotional issues are we talking about? And you still haven't explained your maturity claim. Plus the health effects I mentioned should be taken into consideration as they are rather worse.An extra charge endangerment would make sense.

I never heard of this before and people are still growing emotionally until the mid 20s. So 16-18 year olds are not the same "level" as their older partners.

Nope, prison term, less time, definitely still on the public registry. Someone who goes after children (under 18) needs to be watched, be they female or male. If they're a teacher or in any other position of influence/power, either sex, they are banned from being in a position that is in that type of influence/power for life. I dig that you think underage boys should never have an issue with being taken advantage of by older women, and I admit society would never let them admit to it anyhow. That doesn't mean they should stop being protected, and protected in a way that would make perpetrators and possible future perpetrators think twice.

Medically speaking a child is someone has not reached puberty. The age of consent is 15-16 in most places, it's also where sexual and cognitive development reaches adult levels. Boys can be raped/molested by woman too. I know there are plenty of guys with fnatasies of banging teacher/female authority figures,but just because something works as a fantasy doesn't mean it will be as great in real life.

It really shouldn't since male-on-female ST has greater consequences. Thus should be treated more seriously and the offenders known to the public since their activity are inherently dangerous while the reversal really isn't that bad when you think about it. At worse it would result in hurt feelings of the male but I still think both cases should be illegal though.

Yup, emotionally we do not mature until the mid 20s, which why people under 25 are more likely to get into car accidents and engaged in unprotected sex. It's the thrilling seeking and risking taking age. However, speaking in terms of cognitive abilities people between 15-25 are adults, thus should know full will what sex is and it's consequences. They do rash things, often in the heat of the moment, but not for lack of understanding.

Not really. I'm only saying the male-on-female pairing should be treated harsher due to the possible impregnation with health risks to teen females who are not sexually mature. Other pairings such as male-on-male and female-on-female should get lighter punishments as well. Hell, even males sexing underaged but sexually mature teen females should be taken lightly.
