Gays vs Lesbians

Just something, in the past the men that I have encountered who seemed to be really hating gay people with a passion are those who were actually tricked by them, sorta.

One, was actually out with such a person then when they got to the motel... he found out the hard way. An uncle of mine, with his buddies picked up a group of hot looking chicks... then seems the same thing happened to them, I think they actually beat them up. Seems to this day, theyre still troubled by it...

I guess the net version is guys falling for these people thinking theyre women.

I wonder, if this hate is stirred by fear. Fear of being tricked or fear of being associated as one of them or... I dont know. Some always seemed like their masculinity is challenged, its funny sometimes.

What happens behind closed doors and does not include children and/or violence; I will turned a blind eye to. I am not for either but won't stop the inevitable.

As long as people are sensible and take responsibility for themselves, they can do whatever they want.

I'm fine for both. I watch Yaoi and Yuri. (I'm a girl).

If they love each other enough to do the nasty with each other that's fine by me.

The reason I think gays are not accepted in general like the lesbians is really simple. Men weren't meant to be on the receiving end of sex. While the women can just strap on a toy and go at it. Men just can't do that. I think that it's more disgust towards the fact that most men have anal sex. (Is that true or do they just rub each other off?)

That is just my opinion.

I am a guy I see no problem with (yaoi/yuri) gay/ lesbian.
Only reason that I don't have a problem with gays is because my cousin is gay.
Society has made at least 90% of guys comfortable with lesbians.

While being straight myself, I'm fine with both, having many gay and lesbian friends, even my Best friend is gay, how about that.

I actually find it hilarious with men who say that they are "uncomfortable" with being around gays. It's like they think that just because the man likes other men, he will automatically like You, or he'll be some kind of beast that wanna have sex with All men.

I can assure you, the chance of as a obviously straight man man being hit on by a gay man is less than the chance of you being raped by a straight guy when you go to prison for discrimination and hate crimes.

There was a study done some time ago (I think by the university of Georgia) linking homophobia to being a closet homosexual. Will provide a link if people want.

Ahaha, believe me if you really thought you weren't straight you would question your sexuality a lot more intensely until you can draw a conclusion.

Possibly. Doesn't really apply to how you react to pornography though. If you legitimately feel attracted to both sexes, then that would be a different story.

Peoples' sexuality has absolutely no effect whatsoever upon how I treat 'em. I'll still hang out with gay guys, and as for girls- even if they turn out to be lesbians, I'll still hit on 'em just for the fun of it.

But you are absolutely right about society in general being less tolerant of gays than lesbians; it is simply yet another offshoot of the universal double-standard pertaining to gender.

Through the idyllic, rose-tinted perspective of things, one can judge the situation by the simple physical attributes of a same-sex relationship- i.e. Gays have penises, Lesbians don't.

As such, it is the common misconception that gay relationships are purely raw, sexual and carnal depravity, whilst a lesbian relationship would be more romantic, sapphic.

But as we all know- girls can be just as dirty as guys (or even more so, in certain cases).

In short, it simply amounts to a media-brainwashed, ignorant community again, clinging to morals and views that have long since been disproven/outdated.

I don't mind either, a persons choice of what sex they are attracted too has nothing to do with who the person is. I don't think they should show that choice off in public with actions such as kissing but I would say that should apply to regular couples also.

In Holland it's very widely accepted. Think the country was world first in accepting gay marriage and such. Me on the other hand don't give a crap what sexuality a person has, as long as I don't get bothered with it :)

Gays and Lesbians are fine. I know a gay couple and you can speak to them like ordinary people and they are really friendly but i will admit it looks a little bit odd if they kiss.

Who cares just dont rub it in my face.

My parents are gay, so naturally i think it is horribly wrong.

But seriously, i know tons of homosexuals and while i myself am not, they are just normal people who happen to be attracted to the same gender. Also: it is not a choice, every time it was mentioned in my house my mom always told me how much she wished she had been straight because of all the problems it had caused her.
