All of these come from Goodkind's books, but I found these three very inspirational, the first speaking of experience with something dangerous, that overtime you shall grow less weary of the dangers and bring about your own end. The second is that you cannot let emotions or even morals intercede with logic and reason. The third is that to fear dying in one way more than another is foolish, so don't risk you're life more by picking your death, for "Dead is dead."

I feel like people speak of change, and want change, but they aren't willing to give up anything or do anything for the change.
Also, it's not a quote but its a lesson that probably has the most impact to me in my life.
The jewel within the lotus flower - a Tibetan mantra.
Basically a lesson revolving around the lotus flower, where a lotus flower grows on top of muddy and murky water and at night it closes and sinks to the bottom, and by dawn comes back up and opens as beautiful as the day before.
That the mantra represents to strive to be the lotus flower, that no matter how hard and ugly life gets, to always rise above your problems and never let the ugliness of life change you for who you are inside.
