alot of these submissions cut to the core of me in more ways then one. some were deep rooted and philisophical; some just plain silly =p but i think theyve all impacted me in there own way. i espicially like shaggyjebus' submission:
"Friends can help each other. A true friend is someone who lets you have total freedom to be yourself - and especially to feel. Or, not feel. Whatever you happen to be feeling at the moment is fine with them. That's what real love amounts to - letting a person be what he really is."
Jim Morrison
i understood and lived by this concept for a while, but i never really thought of just why people try to change you: because they think its right. this one hit home, thanks jebus. what cant you do?
i guess the ones that have impacted me the most would have to be:
'i have a rendevouz with death.' - alan seeger
its a poem concerning the near palpable grasp of death the men in wars of past have felt. to have a purpose, a reason to die... ive yet to understand that.
'there is nothing either good or bad, but thinking makes it so.' william shakespeare
it keeps the idea in mind that all is as it is because of morals and a conscience few but humans own.
'some muthafuckas are always trying to ice skate uphill.' - blade/wesley snipes
i dont know how to explain this one, it is as it is. makes sense to me, can any of you kinda understand it?

Oh and while I'm at it I only see qoutes can I get the reasons they effect you so much?
i guess because of how most of them are easily associated with the humility of life or something pertaining to it. theyre kind of like codes of conduct to live by: a strong belief summed up in a sentence or paragraph.

if somebody plays CoD here... then you'll see the quotes that made an impact on me.
the easiest to remember is:
"War does not determine who is right - only who is left"
-Burtrand Russell
