The Asian Way of Raising a Child

I saw this a while back and thought that it was a pretty apt comparison. However, I think that middle ground is a lot better than calling your child a piece of crap and turning them into a moron.

If you did the Chinese parenting method, it would sort of take away their individuality, but they'd be more obedient and focused on their studies

However, if you took the "Western" method, they would have more independence, but they would sort of look at you as a pushover.
