The world is becoming overpopulated. How would you fix it?

I'm just curious. Where exactly did you guys read that the earth is becoming overpopulated?

I mean, It's not our fault we're crowding the cities. There are bunch of vast free countryside that's not populated. The only problem is that all the people are rushing to the cities because of jobs, technology, and stuff like that.

Other than that, when you really think about it, the earth has a lot of space to offer to us still.

The difference is that the meteor was a one-and-done thing. It hit the Earth, damage was sustained, and voila. The Earth started its slow but steady natural recovery cycle as soon as it was over.

Humans, however, are not meteors. They didn't simply hit the Earth and cause massive destruction that literally scarred the planet overnight and then stopped. They've been doing it continually over a period of decades and centuries. And the important thing to realize here is that we will most likely keep on doing it. I have no doubt the Earth would be able to recover if let to its own devices. But that would require that we not be here in the first place to fuck it up more, which in all honesty probably isn't gonna happen.

Unless we move to Mars or something for a long titty time.

Also, homosexuality doesn't necessarily sound like population control...

Oh! i though by your previous post that you meant the planet is permamntly ruined. But yes your correct as long as humans are here the planet is fucked, unless we can find another planet after this one is useless and fuck that one up, then come back in a few million years.

Yea, that actually seems more feasible. A long exodus to Mars or something—like, really long. Talkin' a good millenium or two just to revert a good part of the damage. God knows how much longer we'd have to stay to get everything back to pristine condition, if at all possible. I wouldn't know, I'm not a biologist and don't aspire to be one.

And a lot of same sex couples still get children. They themselves may not be making the child, but someone is. I'll concede, though, that same sex couples on average probably have less children than straight couples, so I can definitely see your point.

I would buy a fuck load of condoms and start sewing them onto people dicks. It's a win win. First they always have a condom. Second, they probably won't be having as much sex due to the bleeding. No matter what you do, when dealing with TRUE overpopulation, you will find yourself sacrificing ethics for need.

First, get rid of the terminally ill. Then the prisoners, then the old individuals, then the low scorers and underachievers, then finally, if it's truly that bad (and I mean hundreds of billions), simply exterminate all except vital leaders/innovators.

It's really that simple, but it's all unethical. Right now, things are fine.

When there is a tokyo sized crowd, sleeping on a plane runway due to lack of space, then you know you have a problem.

Sure, being slow and kind is a good way to rally people, but you have to make a fuss for the crowd to really catch interest. Its the internet.
