What is your impression on people who love hentai?

Eh, for me i see it in two ways really.
When i think of a person watching hentai i think of a fat nerd that lives in his mothers basement fapping to some cartoons.
But then again i watch some and i fap to some, but i sometimes wonder cause most of the time its the same picture over and over repeated a couple of times, so i dont watch Hentai all that much unless its a game or something in my interest range. Other then that i dont watch it i only watch real life shit.

I don't know guys, it seems to me that the modern day media wants to demonize any form of sexual conduct which breaks off from non-related heterosexual intercourse. Homosexuals, SnM, etc. As long as participants are willing, i'm not really bothered by what they get turned on by. And Hentai is probably the least harmful, because it involves 2d characters.

i think people who watch hentai r just regular people who like cartoon porn. there's nothing wrong with it just as some people prefer to watch lesbian porn or something. I actually feel it's actually more preferable because real people aren't being used like in real porn and u can create situations that cant happen in real life. But people like to judge others as weirdos whenever they differ from the norm, but hentai lovers r no different than anime lovers except for the sex part.

See, people, look, I first came to this site coz I wanna do some fapping. Got attracted by the art. But later on, as I read more and more, I came to think that this things aren't that bad. Somehow I think they are mere faces of what our society is today, whether it be the bad one or the good one. And, it made me really think about a lot of things. I remember my mother telling me that I am going to be a father at an early age w/ my habit, but I came to think of it's lessening chances as I grow older. One more thing, hentai is a very good psychological stimulator, don't forget about that.

Personally, I'm not into conventional porn. It's nothing but random sex, with no background story and no personality. No heart whatsoever. Maybe its because I'm a woman, but regular porn feels just mechanic, the old "in out" nothing else to it. To me, hentai, when well done is art. The beauty of sex. And if the world sees people who like hentai as deviant or strange, then so be it. I don't judge, but there's just something I don't understand about your regular porno flick. I don't see the turn on. To me, someone's fapping material seems strange, and to others, MY faping material seems strange, is there any way to overcome that? I think that all we need to do is, don't be so judgemental. We all have our different tastes and preferences, that's all well and good! Lets just enjoy hentai, without guilt or shame, I know I do. I personally been watching porn since 10 and at around 11-12 started watching hentai, I thinking my first every hentai was Night Shift Nurses and this is because I found bits of it on YouTube back at the time, so I search for it and then discovered more and more and more hentai. I do work, I did get my high school degree and I did get into college for Police Foundations but changed my mind and going this year instead for Computer Programming, but guess what while I am a person who watched hentai and anime I was still magically able to learn how to do develop websites and i mean develop as in writing webapp's with PHP + MySQL + jQuery + CSS + HTML, so in the end we who love hentai are no different then the rest juts rest of the fucking word has nothing better to hate then on people who have different likes

"WE" are pretty normal since not all of us likes the extreme stuffs and there are those who doesn't understand that there are more things other than sex.
great example of that is a visual novel since most of us played it for the porn but we got addicted in the story.
while those who judge others too quick will get the wrong idea.

The mainstream media has never been interested in reporting things, like hentai, objectively. They are only interested in ratings. A story about an avid hentai fan raping a minor generates more interest than one about the same fan rescuing a litter of puppies from a fire. The media will never give an unbiased account of the subject, because it is not in their best interest. The media thrives off of negativity and disaster.

As for how others react when they learn of my interest in anime, or hentai, they usually just group it into my lifelong interest in cartoons and animated features. Whether they truly understand the content of some of my videos is doubtful, but I see no reason to enlighten them unless they show an active interest. I am not ashamed to tell them, but see no need to bring up a topic that might cause unease.

While there does seem to be an added stigma attached to people who watch hentai, over others who watch live-action porn, I think that it is a distinction created by people who do not understand the subject. They hear about an animated feature with pornographic themes and instantly think it must be targeted at children.

In my experience, most people I've met that like ecchi, or hentai, are just regular people. Unfortunately, as stated above, it's only the extreme cases that make the news, thereby further coloring the opinions of the masses.

My impression? Everyone has different tastes. Some people like gay porn, some lesbians, anal, etc.

I'm one of those regular people. I fit well with the community I live in and I have a good sense of fashion. One could say that I don't even watch too much anime.
Not just extreme cases, I also tend to dislike people who openly show that they love hentai. It just seems so annoyingly indecent.
I don't mind people who love hentai as long as they don't annoy the society they live in with it.

First i would automatically assume anyone who is so narrow minded as to call us AWESOMELY WONDERFUL Hentai Watchers ignorant, dirty, or vile is a idiotic, narrow minded, non brain using person.

I don't really have an impression besides "this person likes hentai". That means that I don't think less of them (that would be very hypocritical), but they also don't suddenly become more sympathetic to me just because they like hentai.

I agree with Yuuki that one shouldn't be too open about it. Nobody in RL knows that I like it (although I wouldn't be surprised if some suspect it) and I see no reason to rub it in their faces.

It's perfectly natural for us Humans to be interested in sex, it's an animal instinct after all. Just like normal people watch porn, we watch hentai because we also happen to be interested in Anime and Manga. No matter how many people say it's disgusting or horrible, I can guarantee you that these same people have once visited pornhub or redtube or whatever. The hate simply comes from a lack of understanding. It's the people who suppress their urges that I actually find quite "weird".

I don't think a hentai site is the right place to ask such a question. Correct me if I'm wrong, but I have a hunch that you'll get some rather biased answers. If you ask for my opinion though, I'm not the kind of person who would form an impression solely off of the fact that someone likes hentai. Not that I'm trying to be kind or anything, I just don't.

There is validity in that statement, however it seems to me (after reading the entire thread) that this is more of a justification of our liking of hentai and a good way to confirm that the people on here don't adhere to the negative stereotype people place on people that enjoy hentai. We're a subculture that exists and flourishes on sites like this and this seems to me to confirm that we're just normal moderate people who come from all walks of life with one common trend among us. I think it's not as cut and dry as asking what we think of people like us, but rather a thread justifying ourselves and giving quantifiable evidence that we're fairly normal and level-headed across the board.
