Vietnam was a poorly executed and controlled event. Standing military fighting against guerrilla tactics in an environment that is suited perfectly to the guerrilla fighters. Trying to free the people people who would turn on you to prevent their villages from being attacked by china back communist forces,etc ,etc. That's like trying to win a fight with both hands tied behind your back and your legs bound together.

Know that little Jesus guy that people talk about? Even he couldn't have pulled off a miracle like that.

A lot of people say that Japan was about to surrender and that the bombs were unnecessary. Even if Japan wasn't "about" to surrender, American probably would have still beat them if the war had gone on. Of course, that raises the issue of why we dropped the bombs, why it was a bad decision, and all that.

seriously i can't answer this because americans are way too diversified(unlike other countries like,say,uk and france).
i mean,can you say the same about nebraskans,newyorkers and floridans?
NO.they are way too different.

and my mental image about americans are fucked up anyways,thanks to their media and governments.

but from my trip to america and from the americans i've encounter i can say that they're all nice people.

and HEH.people who just blurt out that americans are bad probably never get their asses to america,never met a real-life americans and can't see the truth behind the media and government veil anyways.

I live in America and I rarely find someone that can see past the government and media veil. Maybe I'm just too pessimistic and since I am constantly exposed to the stupid ones day in and day out I begin to think that the whole country is like that.

I know that I have a deep seated hatred of the cliche' California/ New York Liberal and the typical Christian Republican.

I wish people would learn that there can be an alternative other than those 2 parties...
