This game took a grand total of 14 hours to get into a playable mode and it was worth it. For anyone using Vista prior to installing the patch you have to go into Control Panel -> User Accounts -> Turn User Control on or off, and select to have it off. You can turn the setting back on after the patch is installed.

The paranoia in this game is simply delicious, where the fabric of reality itself can be nothing more than a question of "Is this so." This game is a long one, and haven't had the opportunity to try all the different paranoia scenes yet.

I have to say, that was tripping A LOT of drugs. I don't even know what the fuck, but now i have no idea what is real and what isn't.

Ran into an odd problem. Finished installing the game and applying the patch. I've launched the game with no problems. I checked the config screen to see that it is all translated, showing the script is fine.

However, when I click the "Start" choice at the title screen, I am shown a black screen and am automatically taken back to the title screen. Anyone have any idea what I could have done wrong, or should I just delete and try to install again?

EDIT: Tried deleting and reinstalling, but the problem still persists. :(

EDIT: Upon combing the previous pages, it was recommended that changing the regional setting on my PC to Japanese would solve this problem. Unfortunately, I have no idea how to do that. Windows Vista Ultimate is my current OS, if anyone could toss me a link or send me a PM telling me how to do it, I would greatly appreciate it.

EDIT: Okay, went into my Regional and Language options and changed my format to japanese, yet I am still suffering from the exact same issue. :(

EDIT: Got it working! I feel foolish, having forgotten that the directions said to run the game, using AppLocale. Time to get cracking on this highly acclaimed VN. :)

Hmm, game works fine, yet the movies don't play. For example, when I view the opening sequence, the screen goes black and I get an error message, which is in japanese. I can skip past the message and play the game normally, but not being able to watch the movies is going to detract from the overall experience.

Does anyone have any idea as to what caused the error and what can fix it?

Yeah, the beginning rain drop effects, the scene with Rimi summoning her Di-sword, and the opening movie don't play at all for me, but skipping past them still allows me to play the game. I don't think it is a driver problem, but I am truely stumped as to what to do to fix this.

Edit: The other videos in the game seem to be working fine, perhaps it is a coding issue? Also, am I the only one that had to turn off Takumi's voice because he sounded too much like a wimp? :)

Hi I'm using ApploCale and have set my regional language to Japanese and still i receive a black screen after i press the .exe file in NoDVD can someone help me out?

I played it using AppLocale and it run smoothly, when I ran it without applocale or unicode japanese, it's when I got the black screen...so I don't know how can you fix that

By the way I have a question for the people who have cleared the game, I recently finished it with the AA ending, my question is: I know that there is another ending, B ending, it deserves the effort of replaying the game to watch it?

You may need to update your drivers. Either way, it sounds like you have the same problem I do. Going to have to click the enter key and skip past the opening sequence and animations. :(

well this post may be late but, this could easily be solved my just disabling user account control.

1) go to control panel
2) search user account control
3) turn it off
4) restart your computer

you can turn this back on if you want after the patch.

i had the vista control problem too XP, i searched the first 19 pages b4 i realize what was happening then why it was denying me access(searched other places too took me 4hours). i finaly realized about vista's b**chy feature of seeing everything as hostile, moved the folder to my desktop, patched it then moved it back ~b**ch b**ch~

i wish i had found page 20 sooner T_T
well either ways now i have the game in english and im a happy camper(cant think of a lamer line) so thank you for post and all the ppl who helped, even if it didn't apply to me or my problems ^_^

go to computer, whatever hardisk you have, program files . look for nitro plus and chaos head game directory should be there. replace the file Chaos head with the noDvD file Chaos head.

actually the anime is already out. not hentai though, and the ending kinda sucks.
The first few episodes are good, and suddenly they just give u the answers of whats wrong.
