Heads up, you cannot complete the game now, even with the extra patches. Game is currently playable up to chapter 4 and they are fixing it bit by bit.

edit: I can't open the game. I keep on getting an error. The error is in japanese so I have no clue what the error is.
edit edit: Okay so I figured out that it's because I didn't have the noDVD. However, I still can't play the game. I click on the file that's in the noDVD folder, black screen pops up, and the screen disappears.
go to computer, whatever hardisk you have, program files . look for nitro plus and chaos head game directory should be there. replace the file Chaos head with the noDvD file Chaos head.
Yeah I figured that out already. I decided to go and torrent the game. Along with the game, there was an instruction that told me exactly what you just said. I was going ".....wow.......I'm stupid.....I wasted several hours of my lifetime to find out this was why the game wasn't working......"
Never mind. It's the anitfail instillation. As soon as I added it, my problem returned.

is the problem exactly the same as before? you cant open it? or is the subs just not working because you have vista and user control is denying some of the data.

Just for the record and to try help those who have problems, here's what I did to make the game work (it didn't first time):
0- Set regional settings to Japanese
1- Download the game and the patch (yeah well, thanks <<)
2- Install the game through any burning image program (Daemon and Alchool worked fine), CD Key is 000 - 702 - 000 - 114
3- Copy the noDVD crack into the game's folder (you'll overwrite the one the game provides)
4- Copy the content of the Antifail patch into the game folder
5- Run Antifail installer and install the patch (infos on how to install are provided in the Readme text that comes with the patch)
6- Enjoy the game :D
NB: Never unrar the Do Not Touch.rar file, it will unrar itself with the Antifail installer.
Back on topic, the game itself is very nice (I hoped so, especially after playing Saya no Uta), and it's not that guro-ish either. But Jesus how twisted and dark it is.

it seems you have to have the nodvd dir in the folder and not the nodvd folder inside the chaos head folder. well no i got it too work. i hope to get a good ending

I'm about ready to give up! I've tried so many things yet nothing is working. Here are the steps that I go through. I am installing the game on a computer running on Windows XP
1) Extract files with 7-Zip onto desktop
a)Chaos;Head.part1.rar
b)Chaos;Head.part2.rar
c)Chaos;Head.part3.rar
2) Mount file CHAOSHEAD.ISO from extracted folder Chaos;Head with program Virtual DAEMON Manager V4.03HE
3) Proceed to install game with product key 000-702-000-114
4) Open the NoDVD folder and take file ChaosHead and use it to overwrite a similar file in C:\Program Files\Nitroplus\CHAOS;HEAD
5) Extract file CHAO with 7-Zip to location C:\Program Files\Nitroplus\CHAOS;HEAD
6) Open file Antifail Installation (MS-DOS Batch File)
a)Press a key to continue
b)Press a key to continue
c)Type in "Trick Question" and press enter

That's what I tried to explain in my earlier post. I have exactly the same problem except mine doesn't even translate any off the text in the "Config" or anything at all when I boot up the game. I'm sorry if I caused any confusion earlier and thank you randummonkey for the previous reply.

Oh my gosh. What the hell. Since I had nothing to do, I decided to download the English path again. This time the patch didn't fail. It worked perfectly. Wooowwww.

edit edit: randummonkey, yes I set my unicode to Japanese. It's pretty obvious to me when my unicode isn't in Japanese, because I'll be seeing gibberish text instead of Japanese as I'm installing. But thanks for trying to help.

I went to install, did the whole code thing and now I have the icon on my desk top, but I can't open up the game at all -.- a small window pops up and it has a caution sign beside it, an 'x' where the 'x' is and then only a OK button. -.-
How do I fix it so I can play the game T^T

I'm very computer retarded (Meaning installing things is impossible to do it correctly and my patients level is negative 1000 right now from trying to do this for so long), so if someone is going to help me they need to be very explanatory and easy for me xD
and I used the winrar program, got this apploc program and got it downloaded, didn't work with the game and still has that pop up coming up -.- changed the regional to japan and lang, didn't work either v.v
I seriously need help.

Not surprised you don't like it. I played it for several hours before begining to like it. At first it's really slow and the main charecter kind of pissed me off.

I'm having a prob here, I completed the instalation easily but now when I open the game and press start it gives me a static screen (which is within the game) and then it sends me back to the main menu... so my question is wtf? lol anyone had this problem or knows how to fix it?
