Thanks Arashi, I actually JUST got it to install. I hunted down the amaterasu MuvLuv Patch from the download section of their site, and that allowed me to install it with ease. The game starts (despite an error with data.ami), but it is untranslated. Is the NoDVD patch included in the megaupload files also the translation patch or do I have to look elsewhere for that?
In any case, I can't get the NoDVD patch to work. It starts, then quickly fails with an (japanese letters)11.exe error. I will start skimming through this topic again looking for help with that :P
EDIT: Nevermind! Got it to work: I had started the game from the disc mounted in daemon tools and it was untranslated; if I start it from the new .exe in the install folder it starts without that data.ami error, and is translated! Apparently all I have to do to get things to work is post on here about what my problem is and then I'll figure it out ;)

But when i press the "install" button, a new window named rUGP(which is the games engine, right?) appears, there is a yellow triangle with the ! in it and some japanese text, the only option i have is to cancel or "ok" whatever stood there. the same happends if i just try to launch the patch with the game mounted. And for some reason, my pc just doesn't want to take any pictures anymore, dang! You must excuse me if i am spamming, but i currently have no idea on how to fix this...
Yes dude i hv the same problem however they are fix and i hv finish the game
Basically all u need to do is uninstall any game that use rUGP engine , restart, reinstall MLA it should work
If not if not working tell me i will post the complete way ( writing with iphone )

Would anyone be so kind as to upload a save file with the Sumika and Meiya routes cleared?
Finished Extra a long time ago but a new cpu and a lack of a true skip function makes things difficult to get back to where I was without going through the game again. Plus the 100% save file on Foolmaker screws up the CGs.

The launcher appeared with the options of Start game, Install, Uninstall and Exit, Exit and install were highlighted, but when i tried to install, some message that i think is saying rUGP crashed shows up, and i go back to the launcher, gah!

2. go to HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software and find a registry named relic UGP Application
3. Delete the relic ugp application folder
4. Restart computer
5. Install MLA
p.s : this works for me but careful when playing with registry

Hmm, this didn't work either, rUGP still cancels the installation. May i ask how large your un-rared MLA folder was? This may in the end be an issue with the parts i downloaded from MU. The file you are supposed to mount IS an .mds file? right?

The megaupload file part 4 of MLA seems to be corrupted, I tried redownloading it twice. Can i ask for an alternative link?

i got 4.42 GB and last time i download from MU it works but again i use the torrent version. but yes unrar from MU also works

You're using what Operating System?
Try installing the Visual C++ 2005 Runtimes and then try installing the game again.

Which one of those are the Muvluv Alternative translated ones? I see the Muvluv alternative section still has [This is not trnaslated] tag on it.

I DL'ed MLA from the MU links already, but whenever I run the new patch it says that the MLA I have is not the correct version, anyone else has this problem?

I DL'ed MLA from the MU links already, but whenever I run the new patch it says that the MLA I have is not the correct version, anyone else has this problem?How are you trying to install the patch? With the game installed or install the game using the patch? Also, try checking the Version Information option under the Help menu in-game (try checking it without applying the patch).

^Never mind, it's ok now ^_^ I installed the game first by just mounting it first then I ran the patch. Thanks though

I installed it by using the patch and that came with it and can run the game just fine until a certain point.
Also i tried to download the files from here first but i get one Iso when i extract them and it wont start the installation program so i tried the other thread.

Did the game OP already played? As far as I remember the OP plays when it happens what you described and the text runs automatically. If that's the case maybe your issue is about codecs. Try to download and install some kind of codec pack.
