I am positive about my Controller....skills because i basically grew up with a gamepad in hand. I never played on arcades in all my life so i can't understand this pleasure of playing on arcade stick.
I will definitely look into those guides, otherwise it just gets more frustrating when i keep losing, considering that i'm not really a noob in fighting games *At least not in GG and Soul Calibur*
As for playing on pad, in my own opinion, Juri is pretty easy to learn and play on pad. The only problem I see when playing Juri on Pad is stocking her fireballs. Some of her more damaging combos comes from Ultra 1, stocked fireballs and at least 2 bars of meter (to FADC).
SSFIV, and in all respects, all fighting games, were made to be played on an arcade stick. Even though fighting games work well also on Pad, arcade sticks are still more widely used in fighting games. One of the advantages playing on Stick is Plinking and Pianoing In SSFIV. Even though it is possible to do these techniques on Pad, it is way easier to do on stick.
In respect in transferring from GG and SC to SF :
GG has WAY more mechanics than SSFIV, thus it feels like you are dumbing down your game. SSFIV in respect though, has more 'footies' than that of GG. GG is more offensive while SF is more on the tactical and patience side (but in my opinion, they need negative penalties in SF.)
SC is a 3D fighter and it's hard from 3D fighters to 2D ones like SF. Again, the core mechanics of SC is different than SF. SC has Horizontal, Vertical, Kick, and Guard, while SF has Light, Medium, and Heavy attacks for both Kicks and Punches, and block is done by not holding down a button, but holding back.
