Symphonic Rain takes place in a fictional city of apparently Italian heritage, where rain falls everyday. The locals there have adapted to this peculiar phenomenon, and carry on with their lives as if the rain was never there. No one takes an umbrella, no one wears a rain coat.
The main character of the story is 17 year old Chris, a Fortelle student of the famous Piova Communal School of Music (Scuola Comunale di Musica Piova, in Italian). Separated from his childhood sweetheart Arietta when he left his home town for the city, he keeps in touch with her through the means of weekly letters. Penning their thoughts on those letters, Chris treasures and keeps her weekly writings, for he had promised her that should his drawer becomes totally filled with them, he would return to her.
The game starts during Chris's third year as a student, a few months before he has to take the school's final graduation examination: a staged performance. As an instrumentalist, he is required to search for a vocalist partner before he is eligible for the examination.
Beside the adventure parts that makes most of the game, Symphonic Rain includes musical sequences. In which the player is required to press keys on the keyboard in correct timing to accompany the current song. These sequences can be turned to automatic if the player doesn't wish to participate

its almost fully translated apart from the names, but the beta patch is apparently very buggy and its very likely crashing at some point, but you can bypass this by using the original app [SR] and still got all the ending

Okay got the fonts to work on installing the game on C drive program files... Windows 7

Scared me alittle I thought something is wrong with my upload...
Now off to try this game to see if it live up to it's famous name...(Didnt try it sooner because it was almost TL-ed when I want to try it so ;p)

But seems like the choices are pretty straight forward and straight.
Just keep going to the places to practice with the girls you want and choose choices based on them and ignore the rest. Should be pretty easy to go on the route so you probabbly wont need a walkthrough

I have all my regional and language settings on japanese, and I've tried installing it in multiple locations, but nothing seems to work. I'm running on Windows XP.

Try opening your japanese launcher. Start the game and see if you have texts. If you can see japanese text, your regional and language settings is correct.
If you dont have texts on english version only, try putting it in C:/Programfiles, but you probably have... that's the only thing that made mine work...
Tip: Somehow the english version should not have "Internet Ranking" at the title screen, if you have that when you open english launcher, something is wrong if the directory I guess.
Still, this patch is still rather buggy and there might be a new patch soon.

i cant install the game, when i try it shows a message "NetLocalGroupGetMembers ã®ã‚¨ãƒ©--ã§ã™."

I set every options in Regional Settings to Japanese and the text is still invisible....

Is your japanese version text visible? If it is and the english version is not visible.... try reinstall the game at C:/program files.
I had this problem with two different PCs running windows 7 too, and it fixed with this method.... if it still doesnt show... Im kinda out of solutions, gomen

Yeah , the text is visible in Jap. version.
I installed it at C:\Program Files\KOGADO\SRTE.
Same with the english patch.

* I cant see any words in the Novel. I know this problem was already discussed, for me it didnt work. (I have all language installed also AppLocale didnt help) I would appreciate a solution. Thanks
You should run regedit and check out whether it's correctly added to the registry. If not you'd have to add it manually.
I needed to change from ProgramFiles to Programme in the regedit. Because I live in Germany...........well whatever. Thank you very much for your quick help and for the Translation work you have done.
Looks like you need to install the SR regedit? I think it's the one in the directory, see if it works
